ABOUT THE ROLE

In your role as an SRE engineer, you will plan, develop, monitor, and optimize the architecture of our company’s systems. You should excel in working with large-scale applications and frameworks and have outstanding communication and leadership skills and:

• Monitor production environment, incl. containerized workloads using Kubernetes and other cloud-native technologies.
• Understand processes, event management and prioritization
• Respond to issues and various technical problems in real time including hands-on Python coding
• Track issues End to End until problems are resolved
• perform the initial evaluation for incidents and contact the relevant stake holders in the organization as needed
• Define and maintain KPI’s to assure production system health
• Build monitoring dashboards including relevant alerts

FedRAMP SECURITY AND PRIVACY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure the smooth and secure operation of Orca’s GovCloud and other relevant environments.
• Take charge of applying FedRAMP continuous dependency upgrades and resolving vulnerabilities
• Improve system monitoring and observability through log analysis, dashboard creation, and automated alerts based on established SLOs and SLAs
• Adhere to Orca’s policies and procedures according to the designation of Internal-Privileged access rights.

ABOUT YOU

• 3+ years of experience in SRE/DevOps/Tech Support/QA/Automation
• Expertise in scripting languages like Go, Python, or PowerShell for automation tasks.
• Knowledge on databases – Postgres and Elasticsearch queries
• Monitoring solutions experience – Grafana, Prometheus or any others
• Proven hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure management.
• Proven hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerization technologies
• Self-learning abilities and a technical understanding
• Able to provide in depth analyses in a short time
• Ability to provide support to Orca Production in flexible hours Troubleshooting and diagnosis capabilities
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork
• Self-management, multitasking, and prioritization skills
• Fast learner, and ability to perform well under pressure
