Description
As a Platform Privacy Engineer, you’ll primarily work on our backend systems to improve transparency and trust for our app developers. You will also have the opportunity to work on user facing features that requires collaboration cross functionally across the company. You’ll tackle novel problems often, and be responsible for multiple projects up and down the stack. You’ll also frequently research, experiment, and test your way to new solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years practical background in software engineering including building, maintaining, and debugging scalable and high throughput cloud/container based services.
  • Working experience in building and maintaining applications in cloud (i.e. Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Understanding of binary linkers, toolchains, and symbols data.
  • Ability to write maintainable, testable and observable code in Python, Go, Java, or other C-based language.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BA/BS Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
  • Passion for user privacy
  • Strong background in data structures and system architecture
  • Strong collaboration, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
