The Asset Information team is responsible for establishing and maintaining the client’s proprietary reference data warehouse. We utilize various vendors and sources and offering documents to ensure the accurate population of security and issuer level data. Our team’s other core responsibilities include:

  • Answering complex product-related inquiries
  • Performing data integrity analysis
  • Addressing ad hoc research projects
  • Working with development teams to expand further and enhance our proprietary systems

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain security master information
  • Monitor daily quality assurance checks
  • Reference data analysis and ad hoc projects
  • Answer data related inquiries for various departments throughout the organization
  • Submit system enhancements and work with technology teams to implement

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Economics or Finance
  • 3-5 years of previous reference data experience and knowledge of the financial markets
  • Solid understanding of financial markets, investment concepts, and portfolio management processes.
  • Strong technology skills, including proficiency in MS Excel and SQL.
  • Exemplary problem-solving skills with an analytic mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High-level organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proactive nature and a strong drive to improve work processes.
  • Excellent ability to work well in a team and collaborate with various departments.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience interfacing with portfolio managers and trading assistants regarding reference data.
  • Vendor management oversight experience
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
  • CFA certification or progress towards it.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time-sensitive deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

What we offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $92,700 to $153,000. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $111,300 to $173,900. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
