Job Overview:
This new program has been launched at the Paris, Lisbon and Madrid Greenlight Hubs to support drivers in transitioning to electric vehicles (EVs). This initiative is part of our broader sustainability efforts and is designed to educate, guide, and facilitate the switch to EVs for our drivers.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Leadership & Strategy:
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the EV transition program within the GL.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive operational strategy that aligns with Uber’s sustainability goals and ensures the successful electrification of our Paris and Iberia driver base by 2025.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program success, making data-driven decisions to optimize processes and outcomes.
Operational Excellence:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the program, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and high-quality execution.
- Implement best practices in operations management to ensure that the program runs smoothly, from driver engagement to vehicle transition.
- Manage resources effectively, including sites, personnel, and technology, to meet program objectives.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of EV Experts and support staff at the Greenlight Hub.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and excellence within the team.
- Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to ensure team members have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Utilize data analytics and reporting tools to track program performance, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Regularly review and refine operational processes based on data insights to improve efficiency, driver satisfaction, and program outcomes.
- Present data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership to inform strategic decisions and program enhancements.
Stakeholder Management:
Building Strategic Partnerships:
- Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including vehicle manufacturers, charging infrastructure providers, local agencies, and sustainability organizations.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal teams across Uber, including Operations, Marketing, Legal, and Communications, to align the EV transition program with broader company objectives.
- Ensure that all stakeholders are informed and aligned on the program’s goals, timelines, and milestones from a GL perspective and foster a collaborative environment to drive the program's success.
Influence and Advocacy:
- Advocate for the needs and interests of Uber drivers when working with internal and external partners and stakeholders.
- Support the Negotiation agreements and partnerships that enhance the value proposition for drivers, making the switch to EVs more accessible and attractive.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Develop and maintain clear, consistent communication channels with all stakeholders, ensuring they are regularly updated on program developments, challenges, and successes from a GL perspective.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and updates to senior management and external partners, clearly conveying the program’s progress and impact.
Managing Expectations and Feedback:
- Set realistic expectations with stakeholders regarding the timelines, outcomes, and potential challenges of the GL program.
- Actively seek feedback from stakeholders, using it to make informed adjustments to the program and address any concerns proactively.
Crisis Management:
- Develop contingency plans and response strategies for potential risks and challenges that may arise in the program’s execution.
- Act as the point of contact for resolving any disputes or issues that involve external stakeholders, ensuring that solutions are reached swiftly and amicably.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and stakeholder sentiments to anticipate and mitigate any potential risks to the program.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Operations Management, Environmental Studies, Engineering).
- 1+ years of experience in operations management, program management, or a similar leadership role, preferably within the mobility, automotive, or sustainability industries.
- Strong knowledge of electric vehicles, renewable energy, and sustainability practices.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale programs with multiple stakeholders and complex logistics.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
- Ability to think strategically while managing the details of day-to-day operations.
- Proficiency in data analysis, reporting tools, and project management software.
- Fluent in French
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in the electric vehicle industry or a related field.
- Knowledge of the transportation sector and regulatory landscape.
- Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, Master’s in Environmental Management) is a plus.
- Notions in Portuguese and/or Spanish are a plus.
