As our Oceania Workplace Services Leader, you’ll to ensure that the firm’s premises strategy and workplace operating model aligns with business needs, and that service delivery consistently meets defined expectations and measures of quality across all offices – 9 main premises plus 8 smaller satellite offices across Australia and New Zealand, one office in Papua New Guinea, and two in Fiji.

This role will lead the broader Workplace Services function comprising of around 30 EY employees and more than 100 vendor staff, and work seamlessly and collaboratively with other support functions across the Oceania region and globally, to deliver and support effective premises planning and project execution as well as operational facilities and supplier management, inclusive of:

  • Premises solution design, change management and implementation
  • Space planning and optimisation
  • Corporate hospitality services
  • Procurement of outsourced or offshored services and supply
  • Successful transition/implementation of new vendor contracts
  • Workplace services management encompassing repairs and maintenance, landlord liaison, security services, workplace OH&S, and cleaning
  • Concierge, reception, and switchboard
  • Print centres, mailroom, and stationery supply

What we’re looking for

This opportunity requires an experienced and confident leader with the proven ability to operate at all levels within a professional services environment, influencing stakeholders at the strategic level whilst concurrently supporting and coaching a team to deliver effectively on core services and day-to-day priorities.

In addition to having extensive experience in successfully leading and managing a workplace services function and operations across multiple locations, qualifications and/or experience encompassing workplace design, project, and change management will be well regarded.

  • Fundamental and strategic understanding of property and workplace management
  • More than 5 years in a senior leadership position successfully managing a large team
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams in multi-layered environment
  • Experience within a professional services and partnership environment
  • Ability to develop robust and enduring internal and external relationships
  • Proven property program and change management experience
  • Proven ability to lead and coach teams and functions, and to drive an exceptional client service mentality
  • Ability to drive strategic initiatives and work in a proactive manner
  • Ability to independently manage and make recommendations to regional management
  • Takes personal responsibility for making, communicating and implementing difficult or challenging decisions
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Strong financial/budgetary experience
