Samsung Spare Parts Strategist

Role and Responsibilities

  • Support high use parts management through process development, KPI management, and active involvement with low/zero bin parts.

  • Analyze commodity data to understand issues and opportunities for improvement; identify root causes to drive sourcing strategies.

  • Create and execute strategies for sourcing and supply chain optimization in areas such as price negotiation; quality improvement; lead-time reduction; 2nd sourcing; and should cost modeling - Initiate and drive projects that focus on cost savings, work efficiency, and process innovation.

  • Effectively manage suppliers in areas including responsiveness, lead-time, delivery performance, invoice entry, continuous improvement/incident response, and overall performance through strong communication, relationships, and periodic business review.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (including but not limited to Fab Engineering, Parts Innovation, and Samsung HQ Procurement) to ensure smooth management of Spare Parts, including costnegotiation/management,supply chain optimization and process improvement.

  • Analyze data, draw conclusions, share recommendations, and present effectively to executive audiences.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related field.

  • Korean speaking preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years in strategic sourcing and/or category management.

  • 7+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management in areas such as Facilities, MRO, and Capital Equipment.

  • Semiconductor experience a plus - CPM, CPSM or CPIM certification a plus.

  • Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP system preferred - Proven ability to understand and manage end to end supply chain for direct procurement parts.

  • Detail oriented, data driven; ability to analyze and interpret data with an eye towards results and process/system improvement.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration and time management skills.

  • Proven ability to analyze complex data and draw actionable insights.

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

  • Ability to organize work and deliver on multiple high priorities at the same time.

  • Ability to build database and BI dashboard - Ability to exert influence with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
