Role Description:
The program is a 12-month rotational experience focused on Power Protection and Automation in electrical substations, with two specialized tracks, each lasting six months. Designed as an engineering development program, it equips participants with the skills needed to execute projects effectively.
The first rotation begins with two months of structured classroom training at the Wendell, North Carolina Office, guided by Siemens Power Academy trainers, followed by four months of hands-on experience through travel across the U.S., where participants shadow mentors on real-world substation projects.
The second rotation mirrors the structure of the first, starting with two additional months of classroom learning and concluding with four months of field-based training.
At the program’s end, participants choose their preferred track—Power Protection or Automation—allowing them to focus and build expertise in their selected area.

Electrical Engineering major graduating with a bachelor’s or master's degree from an accredited institution between fall 2024 and fall 2025.
Passionate about innovation and problem-solving.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
Ability to start full-time employment beginning in January 2026.
Participants should be willing to travel up to 75% during the learning rotations, with approximately four months of travel expected within each six-month rotation. While the role is based out of Raleigh, NC, it includes extensive travel to customer sites across the U.S. to support factory acceptance testing and commissioning activities.
Applicants must be willing and able to relocate to Raleigh, NC. Assistance is provided to hires who must relocate more than 50 miles from their permanent address.

The pay range for this position is $80,000 - $85,000 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
