- Event Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive event marketing strategy that aligns with BMC’s overall marketing goals.
- Event Execution: Plan, organize, and execute a variety of events, including 1st party and 3rd party events.
- Budget Management: Create and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while maximizing event impact.
- Vendor Management: Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and partners to ensure high-quality event delivery.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, product, and customer success, to ensure seamless event execution and alignment with business goals. This includes leading the BMC Events Council.
- Marketing Campaigns: Engage across the marketing teams to leverage campaigns to promote events, including email marketing, social media, and content marketing.
- Data Analysis: Analyze event performance data and feedback to measure success, identify areas for improvement, and inform future event strategies.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure all events and marketing materials are consistent with the company's brand and messaging.
- Leadership: Lead a team of event marketing professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
To ensure you are set up for success, you will bring the following skillset and experience:
- You have a minimum of 7 years of experience in event marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably within an enterprise software company.
- You have a proven track record of successfully planning and executing large events (in person and virtually).
- You have strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- You have a business acumen focus that emphasizes a data driven approach to event marketing strategy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
