Job Description

The Reconciliation team completes daily reconciliation of Global Bulk Payment and Wholesale Banknote Nostro accounts including funding of a sub set of accounts along with Visa integrated virtual account reconciliation. Conduct outreach to nostro accounts held globally for investigations related to debits/credits on the account for additional information, as required. Prepare GL entries, as required. Support Wholesale Banknote daily funding analysis reports. Position supports any ad hoc requests related to the accounts and monitoring of aging per GRG policies and procedures.

Reconcile Canada Branch Nostro accounts, aging transactions, certificaiton of account balances, preparing swift messages and other PNL, funding reports, and preparing daily/monthly reports including ahoc requests. This job is responsible for analyzing the day-to-day issues, researching, and providing resolution for various issues identified within a business unit. Key responsibilities include building new procedures, completing complex non-routine analytics, creating reports, and reviewing exception testing and processing. Job expectations include supporting continuous improvement of processes by identifying trends and understanding the operations environment.

Department Overview:

This position is part of the Enterprise Deployment Management and Governance group, with responsibilities to directly contribute to environment and platform stability through alignment to Bank's IT Policy, while simultaneously enabling Business and Technology to achieve mutual goals in safe, compliant, and efficient manner. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
CUSTOMER

  • Perform controlled resolution of incidents and problems including prioritization and escalation liaising with business and technology partners as appropriate
  • Service applications / systems and provide a level of application/ systems/ operational availability that meets or exceeds established standards/service levels, while minimizing operational risk

  • Responsible for incident management (2nd level), monthly maintenance, state of health monitoring, and SLA maintenance
  • Provide effective day-to-day production support for applications through accurate problem identification and timely resolution of production issues
  • Perform incident management role (communicator, tracker, escalator, driver, etc.) for outages; communicate to clients during service outages
  • Improve stability of the production environment by assisting in setting up, maintaining and monitoring applications/system


SHAREHOLDER

  • Monitor system lifecycles, ensuring specifications and functionality support business objectives and architecture decisions, undertaking re-development, as required
  • May monitor the performance of the environment by using meaningful metrics
  • Provide Disaster Recovery support by assisting in defining / reviewing disaster recovery plans and by participating in testing
  • Assess and analyze optimization opportunities to the operational environment to improve performance and/or resource utilization
  • Ensure effective change management discipline is use
  • Adhere to existing processes/standards, business technology architecture, risk and production capacity guidelines; plan, monitor and escalate issues as required
  • Follow standards, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) and applicable Business Recovery Plans (BRP)
  • Identify/implement process improvements to enhance revenue, customer experience and/or reduce costs

  • Liaise with internal audit and the TDS Global Operations 1B team to facilitate audit and pRCSAs reviews.
  • Own the escalation oftechnology/operationsrelated incidents to the group manager (and beyond where necessary) and respective partners/business units (Centralized Sanctions Group, TDS Technology Support, etc.). Complete operations risk events reporting as

  • Designed and developed solution architecture to scale backend systems with Spring framework, Spring MVC, and RESTful APIs

  • Hands-on experience with messaging systems like Kafka and RabbitMQ

  • Experience with cloud-native development and deployment (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

  • Utilized DevOps technologies for CI/CD including Ansible, Jenkins, JFrog, and Git

  • Designed and implemented database development on Oracle Exadata

  • Proven experience in leading and mentoring a team of engineers

  • Strong understanding of software development, testing, deployment, and support using agile methodologies

  • Expert-level proficiency in Java Enterprise Edition and related frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate) and advanced SQL

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to write specifications and design documents

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Finacle core banking platform and its integration patterns.

  • Domain expertise in payment systems including Wire, ACH, RTP.

  • Knowledge of ISO 20022 messaging standards.

  • Exposure to event-driven architecture and distributed systems.

  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in financial services.

  • Experience with observability tools like Splunk, Prometheus, and Grafana.

  • Knowledge of financial products data such as Equities, Fixed Income, and Derivatives.

  • Agile/Scrum certification or experience working in agile environments.
