  • Developing applications and components within a highly motivated software development team focused on the creation of next generation medical information systems -and applications.

  • Working in an environment that embodies and embraces new ideas and innovations through agile methodologies and innovation marathons.
  • Pushing the innovation and technology boundaries to bring breakthrough solutions to complex clinical and business problems.
  • Utilizing software design patterns to enhance software quality by addressing fundamental challenges in large-scale system development. In this role, you will contribute to a breakthrough cardiac ultrasound imaging solution that revolutionizes minimally invasive image-guided therapies for patients undergoing complex life-saving trans-catheter cardiac procedures.

Your role:

  • Work on a collaborative, interdisciplinary, and experienced medical device R&D team, tasked with inventing and launching the next generation of products for Philips’ Image Guided Therapies devices business.

  • Work on exciting front-end innovation that involves taking ideas and building them into fully functional prototypes. As ideas iterate, translate functional prototypes into production quality applications.

  • Design, implement and document clinical-quality software for the R&D and user facing subsystem of a novel intra-cardiac imaging device in a medical-regulated environment with focus on C++ implementation and integration in an Image-guidance system. Experience with Python is also required.

  • Participate in software design discussions and code reviews (both internal and multi-functional) for customer centric features and workflows; coordinate with external software contributors, and follow quality & regulatory processes (ISO13485, ISO14971, IEC 62304).

  • You’ve acquired 3+ years of professional experience in developing C++ software for medical devices, preferably in medical imaging.

  • You have a BS, or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent.

Validates key design inputs like usability, reliability, performance, supportability, manufacturability, localizability, safety, security, privacy, serviceability, sustainability and costs.
  • Provides effective oversight of the execution of the quality, reliability, PMS Plans, any Risk Management activities, and all of design related activities during the product/system lifecycle.
  • Performs independent technical assessment on product quality performance and post‐market product quality analysis to lead quality related problem solving and root cause analysis during design and manufacturing and initiates field actions when required.
  • Supports stakeholders during the execution of quality system‐and product audits and inspections. Provide quality engineering support, including assisting organizational units in leading resolution of quality engineering deficiencies.

  • Pursuing a MS in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related degrees.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented software development concepts and methodologies.
  • Understanding of Design and implementation of scalable, secure cloud architecture based on Amazon Web Services, leveraging AWS Data pipeline to process and move data using AWS services like EC2, S3, Hive, Elastic MapReduce, DynamoDB and PostgreSQL.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience with Java, Spark, Spring Boot, RabbitMQ, MQTT, and SQL. Additionally, familiarity with data analytics, AI tools, data visualization, and business intelligence platforms is advantageous.

The hourly pay range for this position is

Bachelor Level: $25 – 29 an hour: Masters Level $35-$45 an hour
plus overtime eligible. The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
