Clinical Application Specialist, IGTSJob Description

As a Clinical Application Specialist IGT-S Indonesia, you will provide clinical expertise through pre-sales presentations, product demonstrations, application training and handing over of company products. You will assist the sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and preparing detailed product clinical specifications for the development and implementation of customerapplications/solutions.


Your Role:

  • Supporting Account Managers by providing clinical decision support for products and solutions, including sales presentations, product demonstrations. Support and advise the sales force during customer acquisition.
  • Developing and executing winning clinical sales strategies to expand market share
  • Actively participating with sales team in coordinating and executing clinical evaluations, product demonstrations and presentations
  • Educating sales team on emerging clinical issues and positioning solutions to address these market changes. Keep up to date with new developments in the clinical application and operating field of the relevant equipment
  • Supporting new products launches
  • Customer Trainings and handover of newly installed IGT-S products or new end-users.
  • Set up application training schedules, in close cooperation with the customer.
  • Train customers in applying the best possible clinical procedures and protocols to achieve optimal usage of the deliveredcathlabs,patient monitors and C-arm equipment.
  • Report to IGT-S business unit on difficulties in optimal usage of the equipment
  • Responsible for delivering customized (competency based) training material pack – if / when required
  • Support user group meetings if / when required.
  • Conduct regular visits to customers to obtain direct feedback from them about the quality of the training delivery and the customer satisfaction.
  • Support and advise the sales force during acquisition.
  • Stay "on track" with the new developments in the clinical application and operating field of the relevant equipment.
  • Be aware and to always manage the safety standards required by the company, including radiation protection, health and safety regulations. In the event of hazards or accidents, to take immediate control of the situation and involve the safety advisor from the regional office.
  • Ensure that all clinical applications training, with both new and existing customers, complies with the company's quality policy.
  • Responsible for reporting customer feedback according to applicable quality standard policy and follow up relevant assigned quality & regulatory training in a timely manner.
  • As a Clinical Application Specialist IGT-S Indonesia, you will be part of APAC IGT-S Clinical Applications Specialist Team and you may need to cover other countries outside of Indonesia in case other IGT-s clinical application specialist are not available.

You are the right fit if:

  • University degree in relevant allied health discipline majors
  • Cathlab, C-arm and radiation safety in-depth knowledge, proficiency in one of the clinical segments such as Interventional Cardiology,Radiology, vascular,Neurology.
  • Preferably minimum of 2-5 years of experience at Clinical applications or as a radiographer in a hospital setting.
  • Experience on using Cathlab or C-arms and advanced applications.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to utilize problem-solving, critical thinking and priority-setting skills.
  • Speaking, understanding, and writing fluently English in addition to local language.
  • Teaching experience in a clinical environment preferred.
  • No obstacle to travel extensively with-in Indonesia and within APAC when necessary.

You are responsible for:

  • Working collaboratively with thewider organization toprovide exceptional service to our customers.  Services include corrective & preventative maintenance, commissioning & installation of equipment and software & hardware upgrades.
  • Actively participating in the sales process and providing expert technical support throughout the entire life cycle of our customer relationships (from pre-sales through to implementation and post-sales support).
  • Taking a lead in managing and supporting technical escalations through to resolution ensuring all stakeholders are continually updated on progress according to the company process.
  • Providing best-in-class service to our customers with technical support, maintenance, and repairs on equipment by determining the most cost-effective repair/solution to minimize customer downtime.
  • Maintaining a high level of knowledge through continual training and development and keeping up to date of new technologies relevant to your area of focus and take on new technology.
  • The role will normally belocated in Greater Jakarta – but will have opportunities to support West Area, Central Area, East Area etc. as needed by the business
  • Be able to work reasonable additional hours outside business hours at such times as are necessary to efficiently and effectively carry out the job role as defined by Philips from time to time due to the criticality of the equipment, this will include on call support.
  • based on knowledge of customer implementation and workflow analysis.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, electronics engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 -5 to years’ experience in supporting medical devices specifically CT, MRI, and DXR (Diagnostic X-Ray)
  • Good execution capabilities and strong desire for success
  • Outstanding customer service skills, able to identify customer needs quickly, accommodate the customers’ social style and meet the customers’ practical needs
  • Ability to work independently and be a good communicator
  • Strong IT, Electronic, Mechanical and Electrical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Your role:

  • Track and trace spare parts.

  • Actively participate in Customer Services logistics improvement projects.

  • Follow up in case of missing, damaged or wrong deliveries.

  • Initiate returns to supplier and secures financial settlement.

  • Create and update weekly report on every activity (CM, PM, FCO) to operation manager.

  • Coordinate FCO parts ordering with Logistics / inventory officer.
