communicate solutions and analyses via written reports and presentations
Required Qualifications
Master’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field with at least 15 years of experience implementing customized systems software configurations for investigational MRI scanners.
Experience with ExSI, ImageListener and SVAT protocols for customized MRI scanner workflow control.
Experience in developing/ modifying RPMs for investigational MRI scanner installations across multiple sites.
Proficiency with C, C++, Python or similar, programming languages for customized data communication and processing.

Roles and Responsibilities
As a Magnetic Resonance Research Scientist, you will:
Apply knowledge and experience in MR physics, mathematics, engineering and chemistry to conceptualize and prototype novel MR systems and software solutions that address key clinical needs.
Develop next-generation MRI sub-systems with enhanced capabilities, and associated applications that leverage them. Examples are in high-performance gradient coils, RF coils, receiver sub-systems, gradient drivers, etc.
Determine the impact of systems hardware performance on image quality and safety.
Develop algorithmic and/ or systems hardware solutions for MR-guided therapy and interventional applications.
Grow external collaborations with academic and industry partners through joint publications, grant submissions and technology development.
Work with clinicians to refine emerging technologies for clinical applications.
Create intellectual property by generating invention disclosures and filing patents.
Maintain external visibility through conference presentations and peer-reviewed journal publications.
Required Qualifications
Ph.D. degree in Physics, Medical Physics, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Computer Engineering, or other related fields, with at least 4 years of research experience.
A demonstrated record of research and development as evidenced by peer-reviewed conference proceedings and journal publications.
Strong fundamentals in MR imaging physics, electromagnetic theory, and MR hardware sub-systems.
Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to understand and address root causes of MR image quality issues in investigational prototypes.
Proficiency in programming in C, Python and/ or simulation tools.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. You will need to have valid, on-going authorization to work in the U.S.
Must be willing to work out of an office located in Niskayuna, NY.

As the Senior AI Scientist, you will focus on exciting generative vision, text, speech, time-series, and multi-modal problems related to segmentation, object detection, large-scale generative models, large-scale pretraining, prompt tuning, distillation, robustness, responsible AI, quantization, etc.
Additionally, you will be responsible for:
Developing and implementing novel machine learning algorithms particularly in the area of LLM to provide automation of clinical tasks using one or more of medical images, electronic medical records, waveforms, and clinical reports.
Demonstrating algorithms to meet accuracy requirements on general subject population through statistical analyses and error estimation.
Exploring learning from human feedback and assisting humans evaluating AI.
Building prototypes to enable development of high-performance AI algorithms in scalable, product-ready code.
Initiating/proposing unique and promising deep learning capabilities, developing new and innovative algorithms and technologies, pursuing patents where appropriate.
Working with large-scale datasets, designing, and developing generative algorithms.
Staying current on published state-of-the-art algorithms and competing technologies.

Project Management Support:
Assist in project management activities to support Research Program Integrators (RPIs).
Address gaps within the team to ensure project milestones are achieved.
Compliance:
Ensure all research activities comply with cross-functional standards, Phased Review Discipline, Quality Management System (QMS), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and regional regulatory requirements.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the Research Program Integrator to prioritize and assign tasks effectively.
Documentation:
Develop and store research documents as needed.
Record Maintenance:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date study records in systems such asMyWorkshop, Veeva CTMS, Support Central, and others.
Data Management and Dashboards:
Utilize the Veeva Clinical Trial Management System to manage and analyze data.
Develop and maintain dashboards to provide real-time insights into clinical trial progress.
Compile and report on the overall research status for AVS businesses.
Prepare detailed reports required by the Research Director, including specific metrics and performance indicators.
Minimum Qualifications:
Completion of all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
Ability to identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required.
Current enrollment in a degree program leading to a bachelor's or technical degree (or equivalent), or possession of a bachelor's or technical degree.
Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications:
