  • Influence GTM and commercial metrics (funnel, pacing, SFDC engagement).
  • Deliver franchise metrics (Orders, sales, CM, WR, VISI, SHARE, CCR, OTRW, OD Volume, Upgrade)
  • Align budget creation with intercom and ensure delivery of franchise metrics (orders, sales, CM, WR, etc.)

Lifecycle & Service Management

  • Develop lifecycle programs with service sales to drive franchise growth and installed base retention in partnership with Service Sales team
  • Drive Franchise growth with commercial, product teams and channel partners w/ best in class IB retention (EOGS) in that process inc Svc,C&A offering
  • Partner with service leadership in the LCT to achieve service targets (e.g., capture rate) and co-lead the effort to upsell and grow lifecycle revenue

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in Business Management, Product Marketing/Development, or equivalent roles within the healthcare industry.
  • At least 8 years of direct experience in the healthcare sector, with deep understanding of market dynamics and customer needs.
  • Proven track record in sales, product management, and/or marketing—experience in high-tech capital equipment is a strong asset.
  • Experience managing matrix organizations, multi-cultural teams, and multi-market businesses.

Leadership & Business Acumen

  • Demonstrated business management and resource allocation skills, including strategic planning and business plan development.
  • Strong financial acumen and organizational planning capabilities.
  • Proven ability to drive and execute rigorous operating mechanisms in alignment with GE standards.
  • Deep knowledge and domain expertise in the field of Emergency, Operative and Critical care (ECO). Knowledge of GE Healthcare’s product and service portfolio would be a plus.

  • Working with cross-functional engineers, the marketing team, the product definition team, and the global team to define system requirements for new products and technology roadmaps.
  • Collaborating across functions and team boundaries to define, design, and implement technology solutions for new product introductions.
  • Utilizing broad technical expertise and experience to help resolve complex design issues with current products.
  • Providing domain expertise to lead technical design reviews, investigate technical risks, and offer innovative solutions to achieve optimal system performance.
  • Developing new CT products through product programs.
  • Providing technical leadership for project execution.
  • Driving innovation for competitive technical differentiation.
  • Defining CT requirements, integrating sub-systems, and managing risks through product programs.
  • Developing methods to improve product quality and customer workflow, and delivering system-level designs to provide effective solutions.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Software, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in systems design engineering or similar, preferably in medical imaging or a related industry.
  • Scripting language coding experience with Python, MATLAB, etc.
  • Effective communication skills – ability to present ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete tasks.
  • Proven problem-solving ability and results orientation.
  • Business-level Japanese and English communication skills to drive local and global development work.
  • Must be legally authorized to work full-time in Japan.

Desired Characteristics (but not limit to)

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Medical Physics, or a closely related field.

  • Serve as the “face” of assigned programs and projects, interacting with executive leadership to communicate results, status, risks/issues and mitigation strategies.
  • Concurrently manage multiple projects that are at various stages in the project life cycle.
  • Monitor progress of each assigned program/project against the overall plan and act with urgency to notify leadership of any issues that require resolution.
  • Understand the broader business environment, organizational strategy and factor this understanding into customer reviews and finalization of program/project findings and recommendations.
  • Coach members to utilize change management and customer acceptance strategies as needed
  • Assess, recommend and promote approaches for applying project management methodologies and technologies to large scale programs/projects.
  • Perform quality assurance (QA) reviews of all program/project deliverables and analyses.

  • Create, maintain, and route formal project documentation to project teams and key stakeholders, within a timely manner by developing standard process and documentations.

Job Description

RA project leader is responsible for all RA tasks of own modality without detailed supervision by the direct manager. As a project leader, lead RA members to submit in time as necessary providing guidance from an experienced professional standpoint. Report to direct manager or to core-team co-workers about submission projects status when it’s requested. This role involves working closely with healthcare regulatory bodies and industry association and requires an in-depth understanding of key business drivers to accomplish work effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides regulatory input for product development to ensure compliance to regulatory requirements for target markets.
  • Develops regulatory strategies to help guide regulatory submission pathways, taking into consideration regulatory, product claims and country regulatory dependencies to ensure optimized sequencing for submissions.
  • Works with a cross functional team to prepare and submit regulatory submissions to regulatory authorities for the purpose of obtaining authorization for market launch.
  • Assesses changes in existing products to and determines the need for new /revise licenses or registrations.
  • Develops plan for timely submission of renewal registrations for applicable countries per business plan, to ensure continued product supply in those countries.
  • Reviews and approves advertising and promotion material to ensure consistency with approved claims and regulatory requirements.
  • Contributes to writing and editing technical documents.
  • Assesses adverse events through approved license dossier to support Safety Management Team.
  • Understands and applies regulatory requirements and their impacts for submissions. (Monitor new/revised requirements and investigate the impact to Japan registration. Triage entry and to be Subject Matter Expert as required.
  • Researches, analyzes, integrates and organizes background information from diverse sources for regulatory submissions (Access to multiple sources to get necessary information with clear objectives and strategies.)
  • Ensures compliance with pre- and post-market product approval requirements. (Lead communication with authorities as necessary and take appropriate action without detailed supervision of direct manager.)
  • Supports regulatory inspections as required. (Support direct manager to have internal and external audit.)
  • Performs a broad variety of tasks in support of product and process design as assigned by the departmental manager.

Experience Requirements:

  • A min. of 5 years experiences to handle product registration project as an independent Regulatory Affairs professional.
  • QA/Safety Management experience is also preferred.
  • Advanced level Japanese language skill to understand regulatory documents and to generate high quality submission package.
  • Business level English (writing, reading, speaking) is required.
  • Proven interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with regulators, colleagues and business partners.
  • Professional judgment and ability to operate with some autonomy, seeking senior guidance when necessary.
  • Flexibility to adapt to different & unique process and cultures in new working environment. Especially, sharing mind, coaching skills and motivation to contribute for team, are preferred.

  • At least 8 years of direct experience in the healthcare sector, with deep understanding of market dynamics and customer needs.
  • Proven track record in sales, product management, and/or marketing—experience in high-tech capital equipment is a strong asset.
  • Experience managing matrix organizations, multi-cultural teams, and multi-market businesses.

Leadership & Business Acumen

  • Demonstrated business management and resource allocation skills, including strategic planning and business plan development.
