Market Research Face to Face Interviewer

Our Consulting division provides recommendations to our clients based on market research data, and the quality of this work has won some of Australia’s largest projects in the market research industry.

Your key responsibilities

The role involves heading out in small teams across the greater Melbourne region conducting face to face interviews (recording the data using a tablet) with people traveling on the transport network.
The project will be running 7 days a week from Friday 3rd October to Sunday 2nd November with the below type of shifts:

• Weekday AM (6:30 AM to 11:00 AM)
• Weekday PM (2:00 PM to 7:00 PM)
• Weekend (9:45 AM to 5:00 PM)

As part of the EY Sweeney team, you will be expected to consistently deliver high quality data and strive to achieve assigned quotas during your shift. Our team prides itself on working collaboratively and encouraging regular open communication between teams.

• Minimum availability of 3-4 days a week (weekends inclusive)
• A strong interest in data collection
• Process and adherence to data integrity

• Ability to understand and follow correct procedures with minimal errors
• Adaptability to work in dynamic environments
• Willingness to work on your feet in outdoor environments for various shift lengths
• Punctuality and professional presentation at all times
• Excellent communication skills with respondents, stakeholders, and the greater EY Sweeney team
• Experience in market research (highly regarded but not essential)
• Eligibility to work in Australia (International students/WHV holders are welcome)

Acknowledgement of Country

​​​​​​The hourly rate commences at $32.26. The rate increases to $38.43 after 50 hours of fieldwork (unless you have already obtained these hours with a previous Market Research employer)

Your key responsibilities

• Supporting the Experience team to define strategy and design for customer experience based on multiple forms, research and analysis
• Support in designing interactive and impactful client experiences for face-to-face and/or digital formats
• Design and produce digital content and branded materials that support interactive sessions
• Support clients in the use of collaboration software being used in the client experience
• Communicate complex technical concepts simply and effectively to all audiences using sketches, storytelling, mood boards/storyboards, wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, and/or data visualizations
• Produce relevant design artefacts (incl. personas, wireframes, journey maps and blueprints, rapid prototypes, UX/UI specifications, pattern libraries, interaction models etc)
• Supporting the team by assisting with co-ordination of 3rd parties / external vendors as needed
• Contribute to the continued development of wavespace, through supporting areas such as methodology development, marketing and building the pipeline

Skills and attributes for success

• Strong project management and organizational skills are essential
• Ability to quickly understand different client objectives and use creative problem-solving skills to translate objectives into engaging workshops
• Experience using design thinking and working on agile teams
• Detail-oriented and creative
• Take a collaborative approach to work, with motivation to develop your skills by taking ownership of new challenges and have a genuine interest in solving complex business problems
• Be flexible to join other working experience sessions to using creative and design thinking techniques
• A curious mindset and the grid to drive innovation

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Experience using (and a passion for) interactive technology and collaboration tools (i.e. Mural, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator) to translate design to curate unique wavespace experiences

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, Axure, InVision, Keynote, OmniGraffle, Sketch or other design technologies
• Good understanding of UX methods and when to apply them effectively
• Experience with photography and video production
• Ability to live-scribe/sketchnote
