About the role:

As a Training and Development Specialist supporting our Quincy Customer Fulfillment Center, you will consult with leaders and teams to identify and implement solutions that drive individual, team, and organizational performance. You will play a key role in fostering a culture of continuous learning, operational excellence, and quality through training, development, and change management initiatives. This role works closely with site leadership, Human Resources, and subject matter experts to ensure training programs meet compliance standards and align with strategic business goals.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Deliver training and development programs, including the design, development, and implementation of content to support core and professional development learning across the site

• Create training materials and recommend appropriate training resources to improve performance and compliance

• Deliver New Hire Onboarding and coordinate refresher training for existing employees; evaluate training effectiveness and apply improvements based on data and feedback

• Collaborate with Business Process Leads and managers to deliver training that supports operational changes and initiatives

• Conduct formal and informal needs assessments (e.g., surveys, focus groups) to identify root causes of performance challenges and recommend actionable solutions

• Lead change management efforts by developing communication plans and materials that support site-level initiatives

• Maintain accurate training records, monitor on-the-job training, and ensure compliance with Quality System and regulatory requirements

• Provide administrative support for learning systems, WMS system access, training approvals, curriculum updates, and training tracking/reporting

• Develop and manage eLearning content across multiple learning management systems (LMS)

Required qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in training, learning and development, instructional design, or a related field

• Proven experience designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs in an operational or manufacturing setting

• Strong facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to engage audiences across multiple levels

• Experience using learning management systems and content development tools

• Ability to conduct needs assessments and analyze data to drive performance solutions

• Working knowledge of change management practices and principles

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience supporting training initiatives in a regulated industry (medical device, pharma, aerospace, etc.)

• Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Learning & Development, Human Resources, or a related discipline

Key Responsibilities:

Education & Experience:

  • Hons bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant discipline.
  • 5+ years relevant experience.
  • Competent in High Volume Automated assembly processes with the ability to provide technical guidance to more junior engineers on their systems in the VS.
  • Strong working knowledge of HMI's, Vision systems (Cognex/Keyence), Electric Drives and Controls, Sensors, solenoids, printers, robots (calibration, homing, troubleshooting). All based upon an excellent mechanical aptitude foundation.
  • Demonstrate ability to Innovate & influence high volume automated assembly process/technology strategy for the VS.
  • Anticipates potential issues/risks and mitigates before they appear. Instill a proactive environment where all engineers and technicians are consistently monitoring their processes, know which levers to look out for to ensure the systems achieve the required uptime & yield targets.
  • Technical Drawings – very strong knowledge of GD&T, dimensional criteria understanding.
  • In depth knowledge of BMRAM, VIP, MES, GLS, MRB, NCEP, CAPA, Windchill, GMP.
  • Acts as a technical advisor to middle management on specialized business projects and technologies.
  • Technical Leadership presence, Lead by example - demonstrate best practices consistently - Essentials & Behaviour’s.
  • Problem Solving leader for the VS (Minimum green belt, Black belt preferable).
  • Statistical Analysis skills e.g. DOE, T-test.

  • Educates customers on the merits and proper clinical usage of AF Solutions products by creating and delivering presentations and demonstrations using a wide variety of formats and platforms (e.g., slides, transparencies, manuals) to keep all customers abreast of the latest product, therapy, and technology developments and current items of interest in the industry.
  • Meets with existing and potential customers (e.g., physicians, physician office groups at hospitals) by traveling (in an automobile or airplane) to identify their clinical needs, goals, and constraints related to patient care and to discuss and demonstrate and train them on how company products can help them to achieve their goals.
  • Develops relationships with hospital personnel at all levels including staff, physicians, and administrators (e.g. through casual conversation, meetings, participation in creating conferences) to make new contacts in other departments within hospital and to identify key decision makers in order to facilitate future sales.
