

Your responsibilities will include:
โข Leading annual operating planning, strategic planning, and forecasting for the Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) region
โข Representing South Africa on the Country Leadership Team and the New Cardio divisional leadership team to drive transformation and regional alignment
โข Coaching and developing Sales Managers and their teams, promoting continuous professional growth
โข Providing ongoing tools and education to ensure team knowledge across products, competitors, and industry trends remains current
โข Gathering strategic market insights from physicians, suppliers, and partners to influence and refine regional strategies
โข Countering competitor strategies in close collaboration with marketing and leveraging internal resources effectively
โข Monitoring regional sales performance, initiating corrective actions, and preparing reports and analysis to support regional management
โข Supporting marketing and sales enablement teams on sales promotions, market research, and training initiatives
โข Collaborating with Sales Managers to develop and implement strategic sales plans and manage expense controls
โข Integrating individual territory plans into a broader regional sales plan while coaching sales teams accordingly
โข Preparing quarterly sales forecasts and contributing to market potential and sales expense estimates
โข Conducting regular field visits to support divisional strategies and provide on-the-ground coaching to team members
โข Ensuring effective territory and account management practices are in place
โข Leading quarterly sales reviews and adjusting strategies based on evolving market dynamics
โข Identifying sales forecast gaps and recommending corrective strategies to drive growth
โข Developing promotional programs and recommending expansion opportunities to support business objectives
โข Actively supporting divisional sales initiatives through training, mentorship, and change management
โข Maintaining product and competitive knowledge across the full New Cardio portfolio and differentiating solutions effectively
โข Building strong relationships with economic buyers and facilitating regional contract negotiations
โข Supporting key customers in the launch and development of clinical education programs and forums
โข Participating in customer and industry-sponsored events to stay engaged with the clinical community
โข Ensuring regulatory and quality compliance through training, documentation, and employee engagement
โข Promoting a culture of continuous quality improvement and customer-centric performance
Qualifications:
Required qualifications:
โข Minimum of 10 years' experience in sales or commercial roles within the medical device or healthcare industry
โข Minimum of 5 years' experience leading sales teams with direct and cross-functional reporting structures
โข Demonstrated success in business planning, market development, and competitive strategy
โข Strong communication and presentation skills with fluency in English (verbal and written)
โข Proven ability to work in a matrixed and fast-paced environment
โข Willing and able to travel extensively across South Africa, approximately three days per week
Preferred qualifications:
โข Bachelorโs degree in a scientific, clinical, or business-related discipline
โข Experience in the cardiovascular or electrophysiology market
โข Knowledge of regional healthcare systems and procurement models
โข Experience managing high-performance teams across a large geographic territory
