Your responsibilities will include:

• Coaching and developing Sales Managers and their teams, promoting continuous professional growth

• Providing ongoing tools and education to ensure team knowledge across products, competitors, and industry trends remains current

• Gathering strategic market insights from physicians, suppliers, and partners to influence and refine regional strategies

• Countering competitor strategies in close collaboration with marketing and leveraging internal resources effectively

• Monitoring regional sales performance, initiating corrective actions, and preparing reports and analysis to support regional management

• Supporting marketing and sales enablement teams on sales promotions, market research, and training initiatives

• Collaborating with Sales Managers to develop and implement strategic sales plans and manage expense controls

• Integrating individual territory plans into a broader regional sales plan while coaching sales teams accordingly

• Preparing quarterly sales forecasts and contributing to market potential and sales expense estimates

• Ensuring regulatory and quality compliance through training, documentation, and employee engagement

Qualifications:

Required qualifications:
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in sales or commercial roles within the medical device or healthcare industry
• Minimum of 5 years' experience leading sales teams with direct and cross-functional reporting structures
• Demonstrated success in business planning, market development, and competitive strategy
• Strong communication and presentation skills with fluency in English (verbal and written)
• Proven ability to work in a matrixed and fast-paced environment
• Willing and able to travel extensively across South Africa, approximately three days per week

Preferred qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, clinical, or business-related discipline
• Experience in the cardiovascular or electrophysiology market
• Knowledge of regional healthcare systems and procurement models
• Experience managing high-performance teams across a large geographic territory

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in execution of proactive regional plan that involves clinical, sales, and service support to improve market share and increase quality of service to customers.
  • Serves as primary resource for clinical support in the areas of case coverage, basic troubleshooting, specialty product usage and customer training.
  • Attends cases in customer accounts and advises physicians on clinical attributes / techniques associated with our coronary products. Represents Interventional Solutions field organization during designated BSC clinic lab days.
  • Educates customers on the merits and proper clinical usage of company products by giving presentations and demonstrations using a wide variety of formats and platforms. Provide supplemental training support during product launches and for high touch specialty products (filter wire /rotablator).
  • Responds to customer needs and complaints regarding products and service by developing creative and feasible solutions or working with other related personnel to develop optimal solutions (especially training, troubleshooting and general case support for iLab hardware / IVUS).
  • Responsible for consignment inventory tracking, semiannual audits, expired product and returns.
  • Ensure timely collection, reporting of all required medical documentation pertaining to our procedural device operation.
  • Fully support the Quality Policy by building quality into all aspects of the incumbent's work and by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
  • Must live within the assigned geographical territory.

Required qualifications

  • BA/BS required or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in sales, healthcare industry, or clinical setting.
  • Must have a technical aptitude; be able to discuss & explain complex technical product information.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and travel when needed.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers (including all BSC divisions).

Preferred qualifications

  • Clinical work experience in Cardiology within the medical device and/or pharmaceutical industry (clinical, sales).
  • Prior experience supporting interventional cardiology procedures in a catheterization lab or hybrid OR environment
  • Demonstrated success in a customer-facing field role within a medical device company, with a focus on cardiovascular or interventional solutions
  • Familiarity with intravascular imaging technologies (e.g., IVUS, iLab) and atherectomy systems (e.g., Rotablator)
  • Strong presentation and training skills, with experience delivering product education to physicians, nurses, and lab staff

The anticipated annualized base amount or range for this full time position will be$65,000 to $85,000, plus variable compensation governed by the Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives) as well as the value of core and optional benefits offered at BSC, which can be reviewed at www.bscbenefitsconnect.com. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs.

  • Drives local country Marketing Strategy Formulation to define winning product strategies customized for the local market that drive significant growth in the country; Identifies key uncertainties and questions to be resolved about the local market and local customers; Identifies the right marketing tools (e.g., segmentation) to address the key questions for the local market and coaches team on how to them; Advances the quality of all analysis and choice making of local product team to address the uncertainties/questions to be resolved; Ensures consistency and alignment across product strategies in the local market as well as the European strategy
  • Drives local country Marketing Strategy Implementation & Communication; Guides local team and Product Manager to develop implementations; Ensureselling tools for the local market that enables the Sales Force to drive desired customer behavior change; Champions the local implementation plan with Product Manager and the country Sales Force; Based on budget allocations and product input from (Local) Product Managers/Specialists, makes resource allocation trade-off decisions across products for local implementations; Ensures the right set of specific metrics are in place for tracking success of local marketing efforts – determines corrective action when local product performance is not on track.

  • Knows the Product Context: Demonstrates depth as well breadth of knowledge of the anatomy, disease, technology, steps of procedures and competitive and regulatory environment for all products in the line. Translates that insight into appropriate action
  • Stakeholder Management: Manages communication with key (local) stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of customer programs and to ensure alignment and effective implementation of country strategies and implementation plans and choices. Establish and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders
  • Planning and Management: Designs and manages an efficient and effective work process for Product Manager. Reliably delivers relevant and value-added outputs within agreed upon timelines
  • Quality: As interface to Clients and Sales Organization has direct responsibility to facilitate, share documents and process to identify, notify and ensure any complaint or problem are addressed, thereby demonstrating high commitment to Quality in all interactions and behaviors.
