As Account Manager Endoscopy, you will build trusted relationships with hospitals, clinicians, and procurement stakeholders in your region. About the Role

The Principal Quality Engineer will ensure FDA and warehouse audit readiness. This position will be either hybrid or onsite located at the Kerkrade, NL site. The Quality team is responsible for quality and operational oversight to ensure processes are in compliance with Boston Scientific requirements, ISO 13485, EU MDR 2017/745, and 21 CFR 800 standards and regulations, as applicable to the warehouse and distribution center.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Implement, maintain, and improve the Kerkrade Quality Management System.
  • Responsible for working with Quality management, department personnel and other areas on process reviews and implementation of requirements to ensure site audit readiness
  • Ensures Annual Global Quality Systems Objectives and Metrics are understood and achieved in line with BSC BestQuality Strategy.
  • Plan and conduct scheduled internal audits to assess compliance with FDA, ISO, EU MDR, and internal requirements. To include audit scheduling, investigation, and evaluation of audit observation and findings, reporting, follow-up, and confirmation of follow-up actions.
  • Drive continuous improvements in the distribution center
  • Act as a coach/ mentor to aid development of junior staff members
  • Pro-actively investigate, identify, and implement best in class Quality Systems practices and implement/manage improvement projects within the organization; (CAPA, VIP, QMP, StAR, Lean, 5S).
  • Act as team/cross-functional team member/lead in supporting quality disciplines, decisions, and practices both internally & externally.
  • Apply sound, systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving quality issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues regarding the impacts of enhancements and process changes.
  • Drive awareness and compliance with applicable standard operating procedures/ work instructions / standards and regulations to meet, comply and champion all quality and regulatory commitments of Boston Scientific
  • Is viewed as a leader in the areas of QSR and ISO/MDR standards within one’s own group, constantly promoting awareness of best industry practices making appropriate decisions using the Site QA Associate Director and Quality Systems Manager as the final arbitrator on critical quality decisions.

  • 5+ Years lead auditor experience
  • 5+ Years relevant experience in a GMP Medical Device Manufacturing environment
  • Experience in a Distribution center is a plus.
  • Green Belt certified (is a plus) with process management experience
  • Familiar with quality tools and problem-solving techniques
  • Team player with strong work ethic and positive mentality
  • Computer literate
  • Good social and communication skills

You fulfil a key commercial role within the hospital accounts in the Southern part of the Netherlands.

  • Be accountable for sales and customer satisfaction of the Boston Scientific
    Urology portfolio by managing the hospital accounts in the Southern part of the Dutch market daily.
  • Prospect and develop positive relationships with potential and existing healthcare professional customers and other stakeholders (Urologists, OR-Nurse specialists, department managers, biomedical engineers and purchasers) in the assigned accounts.
  • Maintain open communication lines with current and prospective customers on programs, promotions and pricing trends.
  • Establish, implement and monitor own account plans for the assigned Urology accounts based on BSC business objectives and customer needs. Contributes to the development of annual strategic plan by providing the RSM, NSM and Marketing with detailed business intelligence for accounts in scope (e.g. market size and potential, market / products trends, business opportunities, competitive landscape, updated clinical and economic stakeholders).
  • Secure and/or renew existing orders by coordinating communication on product availability, delivery dates, clinical and technical support and inventory levels between customers and Boston scientific customer service.
  • Conduct and participate in regional and national marketing & educational training activities to support the development and expansion of relationships and market share.
  • Secures ongoing use of Boston Scientific solutions and field clinical support in scheduled Urological procedures in the assigned accounts, by intimate understanding of the workflow and stakeholder requirements, in line with set targets.
  • Work with customer service department (devices, disposable and capital equipment specialists) on a daily basis, to ensure superior customer service and product use.
  • Keep current on BSC new products or services being offered and give feedback to the corporate stakeholders on market receptivity, concerns or issues learned from the customers.
  • Maintain an ongoing knowledge of all aspects of competitive product innovations, sales promotions, catalogs and advertising for personal sales effectiveness and corporate market intelligence.
  • Attend industry trade shows and clinical congresses as assigned, responsible for event follow up, including a summary report to sales and marketing management, turning in orders, communicating problems for internal follow up, getting leads and sending appropriate follow-up correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate record of sales activities, customer files and field sales reports required, communicating required information as needed. Exerts skills on used systems and processes for account reporting and opportunity planning in the CRM system.
