Job Description
The Commercial Credit Manager will partner closely with sales and risk management colleagues to deliver responsible loan growth and market relevant client solutions that lead to long term client satisfaction and market share growth. The Commercial Credit Manager is a highly skilled resource, providing expert level advisory guidance in the most complex, integrated debt capital solutions across various industries and company sizes/complexities. The role has external client facing responsibilities, and travel (~25%) would be required. Key areas of accountability include market level loan growth; strong asset quality; ensuring that credit approvals meet Bank policies and procedures; and that work quality is accurate.

3+ years’ experience managing a team preferred

Responsibilities
Support loan servicing requirements for a global and regional Corporate, Commercial, Asset Based Lending and Special Assets credit portfolio in diverse industries, acting in agency, participant, and sole lender roles
Support processing credit facility transactions into workflow tools and the system of record with quality control validations and adherence to policies, procedures, control reporting routines and control metric thresholds
Review and adhere to credit approvals, legal credit agreements, corporate documents and policies and procedures to timely onboard, update and maintain credit facilities with accurate data integrity in the system of record
Support loan accounting entries and related calculations; commitment, loan, interest, and fee records; intra-day wire account reconciliation; credit reporting
Review and adhere to credit portfolio legal documentation and act in a consultative manner on standard servicing requirements
Support in-line quality assurance/test of control reviews and adherence to process risk control standards
Acts as subject matter expert on regional and global projects, initiatives, audits requirements and overall unit coverage
Monitor/Support/Supervise administrative duties, including control reporting and records filing
Work flexibility, including overtime, weekends and statutory holidays
Qualifications
University degree with preference to finance or math
Corporate/Commercial banking experience
Understanding of credit-related products, loan servicing, and experience with credit documentation
Support collaborative efforts to advance tools and technology enhancements
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities
Provides unit business support and acts as workflow coordinator on client and agent loan transaction requests and other support tasks

Qualifications
University degree with preference to math or finance
Basic knowledge of Corporate and Commercial credit products, loan servicing, payments, LIQ/credit systems and legal credit agreements is an asset

Ability to consistently act on detailed instructions with accuracy and under time pressures/deadlines
Able to perform well both independently and in a cross functional team environment with active leadership skills
