KeyResponsibilities

1. Participates and contributes in Product Road map discussions representing the key customer voice
2. Fosters culture of CIPs, identifies and drives CIPs for solving customer problems effectively and efficiently.
3. Defines multi year roadmap with clear goals and objectives for Software Support Engineering Organization in the region and establishes process to track progress/results.
4. Establishes and monitores KPIs for support organization that drives improvements to customer satisfaction.
5. Manages Senior SSE Managers and Engineers providing highly visible customer support through the performance of on-site installation, as well as any necessary training, consultation, diagnoses, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex field Software issues
6. Responsible for development of SSE organization in the region. Mentors new managers. Implements appropriate training plans to enhance strength and capabilities of the team.
7. Provides guidelines and leadership to reporting managers in the area of long-term program, strategy, and process design and ensure that these are aligned with the organization’s direction
8. Anticipates needs and initiates the new software capabilities that provide differentiated value to customers

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for designing statement of work (SOW) and deliverables for customer engagements. Responsible for defining the cost targets for the project.
• Responsible for execution of the deliverables in the SOW
• Responsible for meeting the cost targets for the project
• Accountable for managing the customer and customer satisfaction during project
• Manages SMEs, FSO, PSEs to meet the project deliverables and cost. Defines the resources required to meet project deliverables
• Manages multiple projects
• Provide feedback on offering and capabilities required to improve execution and differentiation. May be required to develop new offerings and/or capabilities.

• Collaborating with Solution Architect to apply complex HVP solution offerings to meet customer needs.

• Defines the SOW (statement of work) and project pricing for an engagement in collaboration with the Solution Architect

• Responsible for the development of methodology and offerings in the practice

• Manages SC engagements and project costs to bring engagements to satisfactory completion.

• Accountable for execution and delivery of more complex consulting services and commitments working with sales, PSEs, KATs and FSO.

• Responsible for project financial results and identifying pull-through revenue, in collaboration with other business stakeholders

• This position originates, develops and executes the most complex technical projects and influences future technology and product strategy. Focus, knowledge, judgment and intuition is required for those technical challenges that may not have an identified solution by customer, competitors or within industry. Works on critical complex issues that impact longer term product development and business success measured by two or more of the following: incremental revenue growth, market share increases, key customer penetrations, time to market improvement and commercial value of the work.

• Within safety guidelines originate, design, perform, collect data, analyze and compile reports on unusually complex engineering experiments and provides solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious.

• Develop innovative solutions as part of proven track record of significant technology contributions. Widely recognized internally (across Business Units) as one of the company's top experts in their field.

• Conceive and implement new technology, normally named as primary inventor on numerous critical patents and recognized through awards and/or published papers within the last five years. Decisions impact major product development programs and business success at the division/segment level.

• Leads through contribution to the development of new principles and concepts. As a technical role model to Applied's technical and engineering community, this position acts as a mentor to guide less experienced engineers. Typically is involved in judging the approach and verifying the validity of technical strategies

• Deep subject matter expert who consults with management and customers on exceptionally complex technical issues. Viewed as a company resource for specific technology and interacts with the engineering community internally and externally, based on business need. Represents Applied on industry boards/consortia, seen as a thought leader in area of expertise, regarded by customers and external leaders as an expert and thought leader in their field.
