  • Start-to-finish hardware manufacturing ownership: Ordering components, creating custom components such as cables and PCBAs, build hardware, assemble, QC, Ship to site
  • Thoroughly document design feedback both electrically and mechanically
  • Connector management, Crimping and wire harness building/routing/integration
  • Testing with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, electronic loads, signal generators, etc)
  • Collaborate and communicate with project stakeholders across program management, field support, customers, EHS, technical publications, service engineering, product design, etc.
  • Creation of documentation for others to follow. Both in manufacturing and in application engineering environments
What You’ll Bring
  • Ability to travel to commissioning sites, deployments, and Giga factories 50% of the time
  • A hands-on scrappy, hands on, and a problem solver
  • Passion for renewables, microgrids, diesel generator replacement
  • Train others with technical knowledge gained with first hand exposure of Tesla product/tools
  • Ability to create documentation for other first-time users to follow that are safe, efficient, and crisp

  • Complete residential Main Panel Upgrades (MPU)
  • Work with peers and leadership to evaluate job requirements and cost
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical component and system issues
  • Lead efforts on safe work practices for the Field Operations team
  • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the process by educating customers about the product(s) and offering real-time updates on job status
  • Document and update job status in the company database
  • Attend training sessions and weekly team meetings on new products, installation methodology and safety. Perform other related duties, as assigned
What You’ll Bring
  • A valid state Journeyman Electrician License, and understands NEC codes
  • Position requires working at heights including on rooftops, climbing ladders, stairs and performing repetitious duties, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods of time
  • Able to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, rain, cold, crawl spaces, etc) . Must meet OSHA fall protection standards for at height work limited at 310lbs. and have the ability to climb and utilize equipment on site including various ladders rated for 325lbs. Standard 1926.502(d)(16)(v)
  • Must be able to meet equipment standards for fall protection (harness, anchor, ropes, etc.) with a maximum capacity of 310bs and have the ability climb and utilize equipment on site including various ladders rated for 325lbs
  • Experience using basic hand and power tools and basic computer skills required. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills along with excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to safely handle tools and materials such as: ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries, and other similar electrical equipment, lumber, roofing materials, etc.

  • Support the design of new mechanical tools for new product introduction (NPI) and the existing fleet
  • Incorporate the latest field findings into the internal training program
What You’ll Bring
  • 1–2 years of proven experience in mechanical design, manufacturing, DFM/DFA, and quality control (QC)
  • 1–2 years of experience in product development – specifically tools such as RCA, FMEA, and DVP&R
  • 1–2 years of experience in general electromechanical design, manufacturing, and/or integration
  • Experience in setting up reliability studies for mechanical and electrical tools
  • Basic knowledge of HV best practices
  • Ability to collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders under tight deadlines for quick-turnaround assemblies
  • Willingness to travel to commissioning sites, vendor sites, containment/service sites, and Giga factories 10–15% of the time

You will be the 'go to' engineering resource for these projects and will provide lifecycle support from design through implementation. You will use your electrical expertise to:
- Own the design for existing data center upgrades and design-solutions which add data center infrastructure, capacity, improve availability, and/or increase sustainability.
- Perform design and equipment submittal review for Data Centers in your region.- Work on concurrent projects, sometimes in multiple geographical regions.
- Act as a technical subject matter expert for your given discipline during new remediation projects.
- Support construction, commissioning, operations, and turnover.Key job responsibilities- Possess Strong Engineering Judgement and are able to provide design and recommendations despite uncertainty

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 3+ cumulative years of design experience with industrial or commercial engineering in Mission Critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation, oil / gas facilities.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience using a variety of web based and other software tools for calculation and data processing.
- Direct experience with the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities, especially data centers.
- Experience as resident design engineer or hands-on (in the field) design consultant.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region.
- Registered Professional Engineer
