Key job responsibilities
• Ownership of core security product metrics, ETLs, reports, and dashboards, with an emphasis on understanding trends, and identifying areas of growth and improvement.
• Supporting product teams through both structured and ad-hoc analytics that ensure proper operational performance of Ring's security offerings.
• Drive operational improvements by leveraging platform data to understand performance issues, risks, and areas of opportunity.
• Innovating how we track and report on the performance of new product initiatives and programs.
• Evaluating new markets and customer segments for Ring's subscription service.
Internal job description
• Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Data Science, Business, Economics, Computer Science, or similar field. • 3+ years' prior experience and full proficiency with advanced SQL techniques and querying large data sets, along with an understanding of data warehouse systems, event streams, and data models. • 3+ years in-depth experience creating clear reports in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or others. • Prior experience with subscription and customer lifecycle metrics.
Preferred qualifications
• Master's Degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Marketing Analytics , Information Systems, MBA, or similar degree. • Track record of distilling complex problems into their underlying components, validating hypotheses and delivering actionable data-driven insights. • Structured thinking, ability to self-manage, and advanced problem-solving skills along with strong business acumen. Familiarity with a subscription business model and exposure to subscription-related metrics is a big plus
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
- 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience with Excel
- Experience with SQL
- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
- 3+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience
