Description:

Purpose of the role

You will take ownership of supplier and customer facing issues, establishing root causes and implementing a range of improvements to prevent future issues for KLA-SPTS end customers, and enhance manufacturing efficiency, by minimising the impact of supplier issues. You will be responsible for implementing appropriate improvements as we drive to be better.

Your day to day responsibilities will include:

Field and supplier quality issue management:

  • Investigate and analyse customer-reported field issues, and manufacturing issues, including product defects, failures, and performance concerns.

Root Cause Analysis:

  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) to identify the underlying causes of issues, collaborating with engineering and product teams to implement corrective actions.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Collect, analyse, and interpret data from customer feedback, field reports, and test results. Generate and present detailed reports on trends and recurring issues.

Multi-functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with Product Development, Manufacturing, and Service teams to provide technical guidance and ensure that corrective actions are implemented effectively.

Problem Resolution:

  • Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for identified quality issues. Follow up to ensure that solutions are sustained over time.

Quality Documentation:

  • Maintain detailed documentation on issues, resolutions, and changes made to processes or products. Ensure that documentation adheres to quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Communication to customers:

  • Provide clear communication to customers or manufacturing team regarding issues, progress, and resolutions.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Work on continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall product quality and reduce future issues.

Quality systems activities

  • Take part or lead in process mapping exercises and carry out internal and supplier audits

  • Related experience in a Quality role
  • Identifying, defining and embedding new processes at both supplier and internally while working with the process owners
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Work well within diverse groups of people
  • Familiar with swim lane process mapping
  • Have Internal/Supplier auditing experience
  • Have strong IT Skills
  • Have experience of ERP and MES systems (preferred)
  • Can also ideally demonstrate 8D, Lean, 5 Why’s, Pareto Analysis, Six Sigma, FMEA experience
  • Knowledge of ISO9001:2015 standard

Your qualifications:

  • Ideally, degree qualified in an engineering or manufacturing subject or equivalent experience
  • Ideally, qualified in six sigma to green belt level or higher

Responsibilities:
  • Identify and implement process improvements with a critical focus on “Key performance indicators”, “Internal Risk Assessment programs” and “Data” (both integrity of and analysis”,
  • Support key internal partners and some wider KLA business groups (Facilities Global Engineering, IT and Software and Field Service organisation).
  • Drive the design and implementation of new business processes with organizational context and priorities in mind.
  • Monitor, measure, and analyse the efficiency of new initiatives and processes, adjusting as needed.
  • Work closely with operational leaders and other teams to find opportunities for process enhancements.
  • Provide training and guidance to teams on new processes and how to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and implement further operational excellence improvement programs.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams to drive process improvements.
  • Establish and support key performance metrics and dashboards for monitoring operational performance.
  • Assist in facilitating organisational change by leading and supporting operational and global initiatives within GWS.
  • Support internal GWS process development (with focus on standardisation, compliance, regulations, and operational & business standards (including ISO and equivalent).
Skills:
  • Proven experience in operations management and a keen understanding of Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and manage cross-functional projects.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Lead a small team of software testers, mentoring them and guiding their development

  • Implement strong working practices in software testing

  • Work with the team during the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), to ensure test requirements are understood, detailed, and considered in the software design

  • Coordinate monthly software releases (sprints) for compliance with SDLC and SQA needs

  • Design, implement and maintain a groundbreaking test management environment

  • Liaise with equipment owners to secure testing resources

  • Build and drive test protocols, for manual and automated testing

  • Lead bug reporting from internal and external collaborators

  • Recreate and validate bug reports, identifying root causes

  • Report bugs found during execution of development and regression testing

  • Verify bug fixes provided by the development team, re-raise if not fixed

Basic Qualifications

  • Proven experience in software test roles

  • Experience testing Windows based applications written in C++ and/or C#

  • Can demonstrate resourcefulness in solving problems

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Motivated to learn new skills

  • Build and implement effective acceptance tests in functionality, performance, and usability

  • Able to build and maintain automated test scripts/programs.

  • Experience working in a defect/feature tracking system such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, etc

  • Experience with CI/CD Pipelines

  • Have a drive for continuous improvement

Desired

  • Experience with any of the following areas will improve your profile

  • Has led a small team of software testers

  • Has implemented a test management environment

  • Holds certification in software testing e.g. Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL)

  • Software configuration management experience

  • Knowledge of programming languages, such as C++, C#, Java, Python

  • Project planning and task estimation

  • Working in an Agile development process

  • Semiconductor validated experience
