The opportunity

    • build external relationships with dealmakers at large-cap PE with strong life sciences teams, selected corporates and with other market advisors (bankers, lawyers etc)
    • develop selected account and relationship management responsibilities.
    • build relationships across EY’s Health, Science & Wellness team, the Origination-Key Executive Programme practice and the broader EMEIA firm.
    • develop sector knowledge and Health, Science & Wellness deal evaluation and valuation techniques.
    • support the development of thematic pieces and pursuits in the areas of digital health, outsourced pharma services, and pharmaceuticals, among other sub-sector opportunities; and
    • be a key member of an elite, highly experienced team central to helping deliver SaT revenue and growth.


Your key responsibilities

As the Origination Health, Science & Wellness sector lead, you will be the central point of contact for deal flow within the sector. You will be responsible for managing both the short and medium-term sector pipeline by sourcing, investigating and distributing deal intelligence to the SaT Partners. Another essential part of the role involves developing market-leading insight discussion materials on upcoming pipeline targets and sector themes (“pursuits”), then delivering this alongside pursuit team deal experts to selected Health, Science & Wellness Funds, PE and corporate clients.

Your responsibilities will involve internal discussions with relevant people from the SaT Service Line and qualitative and quantitative analysis to develop pursuits. You will also be required to form relationships with Investment Bankers and other advisers to chase leads and gather market intelligence.

To qualify for the role you must have

    • Professional ACA qualification or equivalent
    • A bachelor’s degree 2:1 or above or equivalent
    • Deal execution experience and/or technical background (minimum 5 years)
    • Financial literacy (understanding of integrated financial statements and reporting, modelling skills)

Ideally, you’ll also have

    • Understanding of private equity / private capital
    • Health, Science & Wellness sector experience
    • Growing network of contacts in the market (Health, Science & Wellness and PE professionals, bankers, lawyers, etc.)
