As a Data Science Manager here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in managing a team of Data Scientists and overseeing the data science function within the Finance Digital Operations. You will be responsible for design, development, and implementation of Data Science methodologies to drive data-driven decision-making in the Corporate Finance domain. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will identify business requirements and analytics needs, and leverage your expertise in statistical analysis, data mining, and machine learning techniques to extract insights from data. Your work will contribute to optimizing financial processes, improving forecasting accuracy, and driving operational efficiencies.You will report directly to our Global Data Science Leader and will work out of our Bangalore, India location on a hybrid work schedule.
People Management will be your primary responsibility and you will be managing a team of highly skilled Data Scientists and guide them to achieve the Organizational goals and drive strategy with the Data Science Leader.In this role, you will impact our organization by transforming financial data into actionable insights, driving data-driven decision-making, and enabling the finance team to make informed strategic decisions.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Manage a team of Highly skilled Data Scientist and act as their Technical Lead and Mentor in capacity as People Manager .
• Develop and implement data science strategies and methodologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and analytics needs.
• Design and develop AI models and algorithms to extract insights from financial data.
• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
• Develop and implement data visualization techniques to effectively communicate insights.
• Provide actionable recommendations based on data-driven insights.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to drive data-driven decision-making.
• Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in data science and analytics.
YOU MUST HAVE
·Master’s degree or PhD in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
·Minimum of 12 to 15 years of experience in data science or related roles.
·Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, data mining, and machine learning techniques.
·Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
·Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark is a plus.
·Experience with Cloud Technologies like Azure and Databricks.
·Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
·Strong communication and presentation skills.
·Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
·Ability to manage and mentor a team of data scientists and analysts.
