About the role:
Serving as the strategic technology leader for Endoscopy’s Digital Strategy- Driving AI Innovation and Data Enablement capabilities across MedSurg, which includes both the Urology and Endoscopy divisions
Reporting to the Senior Director of MedSurg IT, you will act as the primary technology partner for Endoscopy, owning its digital roadmap and aligning initiatives with business goals. You’ll also collaborate across divisions and enterprise platform teams to define and scale AI-driven and data-enabled capabilities that fuel operational excellence, elevate customer experience, and unlock new commercial value.
Endoscopy Digital Strategy:
- Provide strategic IT leadership for Endoscopy, with ownership of the digital roadmap and alignment to business goals.
- Act as the primary liaison between enterprise platform teams and divisions to drive prioritized, high-impact initiatives.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to scale digital and data solutions that elevate commercial impact.
MedSurg AI Innovation & Data Enablement:
- Lead the development and execution of a unified AI roadmap across Urology and Endoscopy divisions, aligned with business strategy and enterprise AI investments. Identify, prioritize, and scale high-impact AI use cases across MedSurg commercial functions, including:
- Operational Efficiency: Streamlining business processes
- Customer Experience: Enhancing personalization and engagement
- Revenue Enablement: Powering data-driven sales strategies
- Product Innovation: Enabling intelligent, connected devices
- Change Management: Driving adoption through communication and training
- Collaborate with the enterprise AI team to adopt shared governance, leverage new AI capabilities, and support long-term maintenance of MedSurg-specific use cases.
- Partner with the enterprise data team to drive standards and best practices in data strategy, governance, quality, and accessibility across MedSurg.
- Champion a data-driven culture and lead efforts to elevate analytics maturity across Urology and Endoscopy.
- Support implementation of key data initiatives to accelerate strategic business programs
Program Delivery & Governance:
- Oversee the delivery and value measurement of IT programs supporting MedSurg strategic goals.
- Establish scalable processes, frameworks, and governance for digital delivery.
- Define and track key outcome metrics (e.g., VIPs, KPIs, ROI) to measure value delivery and continuously optimize project portfolios.
- Ensure programs comply with relevant regulatory, privacy, and security standards across data and AI-enabled initiatives.
- Monitor and communicate program status, risks, and ROI to stakeholders.
Team & Vendor Management:
- Lead cross-functional teams, including internal staff and external partners.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service-level agreements.
- Mentor and coach talent to build future-ready digital capabilities within the organization.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, including periods of formal people management.
- Direct experience driving digital transformation, AI initiatives, or enterprise data strategy.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver complex enterprise technology programs with defined KPIs, ROI tracking, and measurable value outcomes.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to define and execute long-term digital strategies aligned to business objectives.
- Hands-on experience with AI technologies, data architecture, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS or Azure), and connected digital ecosystems.
- Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to present to and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Data Science, or a related field.
- Experience scaling AI-powered and data-enabled initiatives across multiple business units in a complex, matrixed organization.
- Demonstrated success in developing and operationalizing enterprise-wide data strategies, including governance and stewardship frameworks.
- Industry experience in medical technology, healthcare, or other closely related health-regulated fields.
