Overview of the Role
Our mission is to shield developers from administrative overheads in managing and maintaining applications by filtering out the right work efforts for the developers, carry out administrative responsibilities and project manage application's response to technology risk and control issues.
How We Will Work
We will support all communication styles that work for developers – chat, mail, calls.
We will enable developers to raise issues with minimum effort to track progress, our own productivity – and we will use the statistics that we generate, to drive automation of the key developer pain points
Responsibilities:
Development Administration Analyst works with application managers from a portfolio to reduce and eliminate the administrative work surrounding application development and maintenance. The role requires excellent knowledge on how are applications of various nature, (for example internally developed applications, vendor applications, etc) and the risk and control issues that encumbers the applications. It is necessary to understand latest DevSecOps practices followed by development teams. Being a pseudo Application Manager, the candidate should possess excellent communication skills, demonstrate resourcefulness and be able to build relationship with various stakeholders. A passion to identify improvement areas and be able to define good standard practices on what could otherwise be reactive approach to risk and control issues the development teams generally encounter.
Partner with Application development teams to complete administrative tasks, for a suite of applications
Ensure scorecard compliance
Quickly and efficiently liaise with the correct teams
Ensure task completion on time, by updating the relevant systems or by means of following up development and support teams
Build & maintain a knowledge map for quick reference on different stakeholders /teams for an app/LOB
Create knowledge bases on repeatable tasks
Identify opportunities to automate repeatable tasks
Create and distribute status reports
Understand infrastructure around managing vendor applications – example networks, firewall, encryption etc
Qualifications:
7-10 Years of IT experience, of which 3+ years of relevant experience in Apps Development or production support or Dev Ops role
Good in communication and ability to liaise with large number of stakeholders
Good understanding of SDLC process, Dev ops tools and ability to understand system architectures
Ability to plan and organize workload; adjust quickly to changes and re-prioritization
Experience in Capital Markets domain - good to have
Technical skills:
Jira or equivalent tracking tool
Microsoft Excel - Intermediate to expert
Project Management tools
ITIL - good to have
DevOps tools ( Blackduck, Snyk, Checkmarx, added advantage / score)- Preferred
Education:
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
