An ideal candidate should possess 10 to 12 years of relevant experience in government or private sector policy, specifically in shaping and influencing tax and trade policies and regulations.
Candidates should alsohave the technicalexpertise to support internal teams in ensuring compliance with forthcoming tax and trade legislation and regulations.
In addition to developing PayPal’s public policy positions, the manager will lead the development of briefing documents, talking points, and background materials for advocacy engagements.
The position will work closely with senior management and business units to evaluate the impacts and opportunities of relevant tax and trade public policies and to help develop strategies that protect and advance the organization’s business interests.
The manager will cultivate and maintain relationships with key U.S. federal and state government officials and their staff.
An ideal candidate shouldpossess extensive relevant policy experience and a strong understanding of various federal and state regulatory processes, including those associated with the Treasury Department, IRS, Commerce Department, USTR, ITA, and NEC.
