What You Will Do
Design and implement new features and bug fixes to provide authentication and authorization for Ansible Automation Platform, typically at 50-70% capacity
Create unit and integration tests to verify that developed software meets the requirements
Collaborate with various teams to identify the scope of work and use tools such as Jira to document requirements
Provide feedback to juniors and peers on technical designs, merge requests, etc.
Help break down complex requirements into manageable technical tasks
Identify and help remove impediments to team progress
Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team
Help the team self-organize around the work to be done
Provide status updates and communicate risks to Ansible leadership as needed
Regularly participate in the team’s Agile scrum process, demos and check-ins with Product Management and other stakeholders to align on use-cases and plan new initiatives
What You Will Bring
7+ years of professional experience in Software Engineering
Prior experience in a technical leadership role, with a desire to lead from technical design through execution
Knowledge in one or more areas of identity and access management such as authentication, authorization, etc.
Experience developing enterprise applications using Python, Django and Django Rest Framework
Understanding of container management platforms and development environments like Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker/Docker Compose, and Podman
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to drive discussions with both technical and non-technical audiences, and an ability to describe projects that you or the team is working on with confidence and depth of understanding.
An aptitude for jumping in to help unblock team progress
An agile mindset, with openness and flexibility to pivot towards the highest priority work items as needed
The following are considered a plus:
Certified Scrum Developer (CSD) and/or Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
Working knowledge of industry standard security concepts and protocols like SAML, SCIM, OAuth, OIDC, and RBAC.
Familiarity with Envoy Proxy (including building filters, controlling envoy via API, and monitoring)
Hands-on experience using Ansible for automating tasks such as configuration management, application deployment, cloud provisioning, etc.
Understanding of message queuing technologies such as Redis.
Contributor to one or more open-source projects
The salary range for this position is $116,270.00 - $191,840.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
