About the Role

Basic Qualifications

4+ years managing global cross-functional engineering teams through technical leads in a hyper-growth environment

• Experience supporting team actively via career mentor & development, handling performance, and influencing partner teams
• A strong ability to architect and design robust, high-scale systems and to challenge engineers to think bigger and more generically in developing their solutions
• Experience going through the full software cycle from requirements, design, coding, testing, continuous integration, delivery, and ongoing management of world-class software and services

Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years of proven experience with direct people management
• Experience with Amazon AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or similar
• Experience with container platforms such as Kubernetes or Mesos
• Experience in building large-scale distributed systems
• Track record working across an extensive organization not just across teams

• Drive the technical alignment internally and with partner teams
• Own roadmap execution and delivery of projects with high quality
• Grow, mentor, and develop a team of skilled and experienced software engineers
• Recruit high-quality engineering talent for the team
• Contribute to the engineering culture and uphold the processes that will shape the team
• Help defining the future of Uber Configuration Platform
