As an iPhone Hardware Systems Validation Engineer, you will be a key contributor who is crucial in delivering electrical validation milestones from the first prototype to the final launch in a high-energy, fast-paced environment. You’ll work side by side with the iPhone System Integration Team, using your technical expertise and interpersonal skills to drive projects forward and ensure high-quality results.With a strong foundation in electrical engineering, you’re not just solution-driven—you’re ready to dive deep into the nitty-gritty of debugging, working closely with multiple engineering teams to tackle critical tasks and refine our designs. In this hands-on role, you’ll dig into complex technical challenges, build and maintain validation automation architecture, and actively contribute to mitigating project risks while engineering the future of innovation.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical / Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • Expertise with hardware bring-up and bench-top measurements with lab equipment (e.g. digital oscilloscope, logic analyzer, power supply) for signal and power integrity
  • Basic understanding of both low-speed and high-speed digital interfaces
  • Familiarity with power electronics, especially DC-DC converters.
  • Strong Electrical Engineering fundamentals and experience working on high-volume consumer electronics
  • In-depth knowledge of power integrity, including analog designs such as DC-DC converters
  • Experience with Project management and data analysis tools (e.g. Tableau, pivot tables, Gantt charts, etc.)
  • Ability to root-cause issues and recommend design improvements.
  • Experience with scripting languages and instrument automation (e.g. Python, Labview)
  • Strong communication and people skills. Ability to work multi-functional teams on a regular basis.
