Design automated material handling solutions to establish new and improved existing material flows throughout the facilities. The design includes material arrival at docks, delivery to line-side locations, material transport between internal manufacturing lines, buffer/storage systems, robotic material handling solutions
Drive material flow strategies and dynamic manufacturing systems
Develop analytical models to establish design criteria and overall system performance criteria
Investigate and research advanced technologies to optimize material handling equipment and systems
Concept development, detailed engineering design, and collaboration with system build and integration
Develop RFQs, technical equipment specifications, procedures, and proper documentation
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
5+ years of practical automated material handling and process equipment design experience in AS/RS, electric monorail system, conveyance, mobile robotics (AGVs or AMRs), and robotic material handling
Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA or similar modeling software
A solid engineering background with hands-on design and development experience
A passion to work with automation equipment and design processes around it
Ability to lead a project from concept through to installation and hand-over while working in a close-knit, team environment
Knowledge of and experience with material flow strategies and dynamic manufacturing systems.
Strong analytical and organizational skills. Ability to manage several complex projects at the same time with high degrees of variation and uncertainty
