This internship aims to investigate external influences on the precision manufacturing capability of prototypes in our department and translate findings into suggestions for improvement. You will perform a Cost-Benefit analysis of climate and vibration control measures to facilitate future decision making
• In this role you will help to improve future product success where small dimensions with tight tolerances make all the difference.
• This assignment will be carried out within the CNC team of our prototyping department where many different subtractive machining techniques are used for precision mechanical prototyping. The primary stakeholder beyond the department itself is the fast-paced Innovation and Development community of Philips Drachten.
• During this assignment you will work in a wonderful professional environment while learning a lot about precision machining- vital everywhere in the High-tech industry.
1. You are currently pursuing a degree (at the University or University of Applied Sciences level) in the field of Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering & Management or related. Preferably looking for a graduation assignment.
2. You have some experience in machining or at a minimum a deep passion for metal part making.
3. You have a skillset that fits a Research and Development environment and have an affinity for production machines
