Job Description:

Job Duties: Design, develop, and test performance efficient payment features and functions delivered for PayPal features. Create high traffic backend web services for external customer facing web applications. Collaborate with peers and clients to create technical solutions, analyze issues, understand requirements, and deliver quality products. Troubleshoot open issues and bug-fixes, ensuring on-time delivery and hand-off and interacting with project manager to provide input on project plan. Investigate and address performance bottlenecks to scale our services and to easily configure at low cost. Ensure quality of the services by creating test frameworks for test execution and automation. Develop high performance, scalable and highly available web services using J2EE and frameworks such as REST and Jersey. Work in an Agile environment with a focus on problem solving and engineering excellence. Create and deploy dashboards for visualizations, monitor - production environment, performance of one boxes, bugs, and anomalous behavior, create alerts to determine customer failed interaction spike, create load and performance tests. Partial telecommuting permitted from a commutable distance.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation
