What you will be doing:
Leading execution of safety engineering processes to meet ISO 26262 and ISO 21448 standards, with on-time safety case completion
Promoting a positive safety culture and deployment of organizational processes by providing training, mentoring and tailoring
Acting as the primary point of contact for all safety related concerns during development and proactively working to resolve identified issues
Collaborating with OEM and Tier1 partners to ensure that all aspects of the joint safety engineering development are carried out on time and according to plan
What we need to see:
Bachelor’s degree (BS) in an engineering discipline (or equivalent experience) with at least five years of proven experience in automotive development and integration for safety related systems (or an advanced degree with equivalent experience)
Possess a deep understanding of functional safety and development processes needed to follow the ISO 26262 functional safety standard
A working knowledge of quality system and tools, such as Automotive SPICE and IATF 16949
Application of system safety methodologies & practices, including FMEA, FTA, FMEDA
Excellent written, and verbal communication skills

Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Experience leading safety management efforts for production of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) or autonomous vehicle systems
Experience in the application of ISO 21488 (SOTIF) in combination with functional safety
Solid understanding of V&V of complex safety-critical system
Software development experience.
