Your key responsibilities
As a Senior Manager/ Manager in the team you can expect to be involved in some of the following activities:
- Lead client projects, provide subject matter expertise and ensure quality work is produced and delivered to clients
- Manage commercial aspects of client projects such as budgeting, adhere to EY’s risk management policies and procedures, and communicate progress and escalate any significant issues to partners and clients
- Assist with generating new business opportunities, industry networks and relationships with a focus on climate change and decarbonisation agendas
- Build strong internal relationships within EY, including cross-service interactions with EY’s Global network
- Contribute to and help shape the team’s development through recruitment activities, coaching, mentoring, and training

To succeed in the role, you will ideally have experience/qualifications in some of the areas below:
- Developing and/or implementing sustainability, ESG linked, and/or decarbonisation and net zero strategies
- Assessing life cycle greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) of products and/or services
- Designing and undertaking climate risk and vulnerability assessments and developing adaptation plans using different quantitative and qualitative research and analytical techniques
- Conducting scenario analysis and qualitative/quantitative physical and transition risk assessments with an understanding of TCFD guidance and/or corporate risk reporting
- Climate and sustainability-related disclosure standards/guidance such as TCFD, IIRC, IFRS,GRI and SASB amongst others
- Strong knowledge of climate change policy and regulations across industries including, but not limited to, iron&steel, cement, transportation, energy, agriculture, consumer goods, and real estate
- Experience communicating with senior management on a range of climate change, ESG and /or risk management topics
- Experience leading successful research or commercial bids
- Strong academic background in areas such as environmental science, economics, engineering, public policy – amongst others
