KLA is looking for an experienced learning strategist to design learning journeys and certification paths for our new and seasoned field service engineers to accelerate certification time. This is a field-facing role that will work with field experts to identify the skills and training requirements to support KLA products and implement the appropriate architect, sequence and learning journeys for the technical engineers to reduce time to certification.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze a range of data sources including LMS, CRM, Workday and certification systems to understand complete hiring to proficiency journey of technical engineers on various products.
  • Define long-term training paths and give guidance on career paths and options.
  • Lay out the most optimal sequence of learning resources, activities, interventions, training courses and on-the-job experiences for new and experienced engineers.
  • Use advanced analytics to analyze learning metrics, certification progress and employee performance.
  • Determine training needs and skill gaps required to support service, maintenance, installation, repair, and troubleshooting of KLA equipment.
  • Develop business process training and include this in the new and experienced engineers’ learning journeys.
  • Develop comprehensive competency maps and skill development roadmaps of field-facing technical roles.
  • Engage field service management and HR to understand product service commitments and challenges.
  • Identify technical, business process and compliance/safety training requirements to meet contract commitments.
  • Identify available opportunities and resources to deploy engineers productively during learning journeys.
  • Investigate various learning paths and requirements across the product lines and develop role-based learning journeys.
  • Evaluate scope and learning outcomes for each training course/intervention on the learning journeys.
  • Conduct review meetings and present proposals to executive stakeholders at every level.
  • Architect and implement the approved learning journeys in the LMS.
  • Monitor effectiveness of learning journeys in driving reduction in time to certification of engineers.
  • Propose newstrategies/approachesto drive compliance and effectiveness.
  • Interact with trainers and experts to understand product challenges and document the knowledge/skills required to support the same.
  • Identify, develop and drive the development of learning content, resources, modules, videos and support material to guide self-learning efficiently.
  • Manage assigned projects, conduct reviews with stakeholders, provide regular updates to the stakeholders and functional groups.
  • Document best practices, using standard formats and templates and improve where needed.
  • Drive deployment of necessary reports and dashboards.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree in engineering or equivalent technical disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in technical training related roles.
  • Experience inmanufacturing/technology/semiconductorenvironment will be preferred.
  • Hands-on or supervisory experience in a field-facing or customer-facing role will be highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in architecting multiple certification programs for large audience or a large company.
  • Deep understanding of designing programs for highly complex and technical skills for technical staff.
  • Solid hands-on skills working on LMSs, CRM systems, HR systems and Business Intelligence systems.
  • Hands-on skills in analytics, dashboarding and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge and experience in instructional design highly desirable.
  • Flexibility to work with technical, non-technical and managerial staff with equal ease.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Comfortable in delivering high stake presentations to executive staff.
  • Proven flexibility to work across time zones and cultures.
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and effectively in matrix environment with multiple direct and indirect managers.
  • Highly driven attitude to work with global stakeholders and resolve conflicts.
  • Well-developed problem solving and strategic thinking skills.
