Sustainability - Nonfinancial Reporting Assurance & Advisory (NFRA) - ManagerThe nature of this role means no two projects will be the same. That means you’ll need to think on your feet and challenge existing practices to develop answers to complex issues. You’ll also be collaborating with colleagues across multiple service lines, so we’ll look to you to build relationships and identify opportunities for our clients to benefit from our knowledge in other areas. Regular travel up to 25% will be required as you will be meeting with key clients, some of those being the most respected in their fields.
Your key responsibilities
you will play a key role in that growth. Working across all industries, you will develop your career by assisting clients in communicating nonfinancial performance, and responding to the development of corporate, nonfinancial, and integrated reporting frameworks. Our team helps clients to identify stakeholder expectations, as well as assist in providing trust and confidence to the market on performance and in creating long-term value. Example project activities may include:
- Developing nonfinancial disclosures, integrated annual reports and other communications
- Establishing corporate governance risk disclosures
- Collecting and collating nonfinancial data to support management reporting, reporting to the board, and external disclosures
- Developing internal and external reporting strategies, including identifying KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
- Leading fieldwork, managing performance, and keeping engagement leaders updated on audit engagements
Skills and attributes for success
- Understanding of environmental, social, economic, and governance (ESG) disclosure standards, frameworks and questionnaires such asGRI, TCFD, SASB, CDP, UNPRI, and other sustainability reporting frameworks
- Ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders including management and the board to provide insight to related nonfinancial performances
- Understanding of carbon credits or offsets issues under voluntary and/or regulatory standards
- Ability to engage clients and provide authoritative advice and professionalism throughout transactions
- Quantify green or social impact bonds against agreed criteria
To qualify for the role you must have
- A bachelor’s degree in an accounting, finance, or business discipline, supported by 5 to 7 years’ work experience as an auditor in a public accounting firm
- US CPA licensure in your work state
- Prior consulting experience is preferred, but not required
- A proven track record of successfully assisting businesses inunderstanding key climate change and sustainability issues, regulatory developments, and market best practices
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to develop strategies and solutions of high business value
- Sufficient level of technical background to provide highly-credible leadership to development teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues
- The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary
- Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver's license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations

- The salary range for this position in Stamford, CT is 143,900 to 239,800
- The salaryrange for this position in Hartford, CT is 131,900 to 219,800

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $127,100 to $233,000. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $152,500 to $264,800. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
