Description
As a CPU Implementation Engineer, you will participate in the following:• Work with micro-architects to help define the micro-architecture and assist with design feasibility and power, performance, and area (PPA) trade-offs• Participate in RTL-to-GDS design convergence through microarchitecture and logic (RTL) optimizations using synthesis and place-and-route tools targeting ambitious goals for PPA• Assist with block-level design delivery along with closure of backend flows, electrical requirements, and improving silicon yield• Work closely with internal CAD and PD methodology teams on industry standard synthesis/PNR tool features and optimizations and their adoption in CPU design• Work with x-functional top-level teams on the aspects of CPU floorplan, timing, power, reliability, and testability• Work closely with custom IP teams to define and co-optimize memory macros, library standard cells to improve design PPA
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum BS
  • Must have coursework in logic design and digital circuits
  • Must have coursework in computer architecture covering basic CPU pipeline
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic knowledge of scripting/programming acquired during coursework, internship, or industry work
  • Basic knowledge of physical design concepts related to timing and power
  • Ability to work well in a team, self-motivated and excellent communication skills
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $121,900 and $183,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
