About the role:

The Associate Director, Program Management is an exciting role responsible for leading the development of an innovative active implantable device to treat Urological conditions. This leader will demonstrate best practices in project management and drive innovative R&D programs through the full life cycle of product development. This role coordinates with functional and cross functional contributors and stakeholders and interfaces with functional and franchise leadership teams on portfolio strategy. The role ensures successful delivery of programs as well as continuous improvement in project management practices.

This role will also involve direct people management responsibilities, leading a team of talent project managers to achieve the program goals.

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Manages the full project lifecycle, including initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing processes, while building team ownership and commitment.
  • Prepares comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets utilizing tools like Microsoft Project.
  • Develops and administers budgets, schedules and performance standards, tracking accountability of team to objectives.
  • Directs project execution, assigns tasks, tracks progress, identifies risks, and develops contingency plans, ensuring project quality.
  • Leads cross-functional development teams, providing performance feedback and influencing team dynamics.
  • Communicates project status through standard reports and update meetings with departmental and customer stakeholders including liaising between the business unit and executives who make up the project investment board.
  • Resolves project issues collaboratively with team members and stakeholders ensuring smooth project progression.
  • Acts as a liaison between the team and project stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and leading business reviews and project documentation.
  • Creates comprehensive talent management plans and bench strength within the organization. Attracts, develops, manages, and retains top talent. Ensures that employees receive ongoing feedback, mentoring, training, and development opportunities. Holds self and others accountable for making continuous progress against their development objective
  • Establishes and sustains a culture of development, coaching, and performance feedback throughout the organization.
  • Anticipates business and external developments to drive BSC growth and recommends product, process, or service improvements.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and fosters a diverse workplace.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years of professional experience in program management, project management, engineering or other relevant discipline
  • 5+ years of program management experience
  • 4+ years of experience running an active implantable technology program (medical device) and/or experience in active implantable product development process
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management capabilities
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to support occasional travel
  • Willingness to work onsite 3+ days per week

  • Experience in a regulated medical device development environment
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams
  • Demonstrated ability to create a positive working culture within teams
  • Proven ability to work effectively across functional teams in a matrixed environment
  • Experience leading complex cross functional programs
  • Proven ability to influence without direct authority
  • Project management professional certification

Base Salary Range Minnesota

Minimum Salary: $ 164800

Maximum Salary: $ 313200

Compensation for
exempt rolesmay also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
