Job Summary:
You will help apply data management and analysis techniques to quantify the health and sustainability of open source software communities. You will have regular contact with AL/ML engineers and other data scientists gaining important insights into how Red Hat fosters its open source communities to grow its business. And you'll collaborate with open source community builders to provide timely reports of upstream activities to Red Hat stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities:
Create a system/toolset where an experimental-model analysis can be run on changes made within an open source community, upon need
Support development of machine learning, data mining, and statistical techniques and algorithms to create new, scalable solutions to address community problems by analysis of large amounts of data
Collaborate with community leaders to apply results to actionable items
Translate key findings into visualized presentations
Network with other talented interns in an inclusive and diverse workplace where you can be yourself and thrive
Required Skills:
Working knowledge of written and spoken English
Basic knowledge and willingness to use Python, Git or similar programming language
Strong organizational and logistical skills, and familiarity with data science concepts
Passion, curiosity, and desire to create new things and examine how things work internally
Willingness to learn and proactively work as a part of a wider team
The salary range for this position is $66,820.00 - $106,960.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
