Your Career

As a Sr. Manager of Product Management, for Prisma SASE - Federal & Public Sector, you will play an instrumental role in ensuring our products and services meet the needs of our Federal/Public Sector Government customers. You will engage with Product, Engineering, GTM, and Sales teams to drive products based on Federal/Public Sector customer requirements, cloud provider services, and security events. You’ll play a key role in disrupting the security industry and fundamentally changing how the Federal/Public sector consumes security technology, resulting in a more secure digital environment for all their constituents.

In addition to your own creativity, you will rely on interaction with our Federal/Public Sector sales teams, customers, partners, and partner systems integrators to understand the requirements and needs that they face in their environments on a day-to-day basis. You’ll ensure we deliver product functionality for Federal/Public SectorPublic Sector that match the level of innovation found throughout our organization. You think about products differently, facing difficult challenges, and innovating solutions never created before. You will be involved with the Federal-focused product capabilities throughout all stages of life-cycle: conception, definition, development, release, and post-release activities.

Your Impact

  • As a Sr. Manager Federal/Public Sector, you will be part of the SASE Product Management team at Palo Alto Networks
  • Understand how all our security products work and identify what is needed for them to be successful in the Federal/Public Sector market in the Americas
  • Work closely with key Government customers across the Americas to understand their current and future needs - Anticipates future needs and works to get ahead of potential client needs or requirements
  • Support Federal/Public Sector Government sales teams and customers with Product capabilities, roadmap, offer creation, go-to-market strategy, and implementation
  • Support proof-of-concept efforts across the Federal/Public Sector government space
  • Drive adoption of our Prisma SASE cloud security offerings with Fed customers
  • Provide technical expertise and content to Government Affairs policy/standards efforts
  • Work with government customers to influence in building reference architectures to benefit Palo Alto Networks products and capabilities
  • Define the business case for solutions, design the solution to help with prototyping and development, and take the solution through to launch and market
  • Work with key external partners to identify gaps and develop solutions for the Federal/Public Sector government space, such as SIs, CSPs, and channel partners
  • Demonstrate thought leadership across multiple channels and become a trusted advisor to decision-makers
  • Support the TME, GTM teams, and their GTM efforts
  • Develop and coach appropriate team members

Your Experience

  • Strong Product Management experience (10+ years) in a technology/high-tech environment
  • Possess deep knowledge of Federal Government, including Military branches, Commands, the Intelligence Community, and Civilian Agencies
  • Experience working with systems integrators and other influencers
  • Domain expertise in security and cloud architectures, networking, and security for Federal/Public Sector to provide oversight for requirements in their area to meet customer needs
  • Comprehensive understanding of cyber security concepts, best practices, and current threats to our digital way of life
  • Technical background in enterprise security; specialized knowledge in network security, cloud security, endpoint security and cryptography highly desirable
  • Experience working on regulatory or industry compliance efforts (NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, DoD Impact Levels, ISO 27001, etc.), and the ability to translate compliance controls into security policies
  • BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering, MBA, business, or equivalent education, training or equivalent military experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to travel to further customer engagement and relationship development
  • Strong leadership skills, being able to generate enthusiasm and commitment
  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently with limited direction
  • Ability to effectively juggle and manage many different tasks simultaneously

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $178,400/yr to $288,650/yr.
