As our Senior Consultant you will play a critical role in driving value for our clients, working closely with our senior and experienced transfer pricing professionals including partners, directors and senior managers. You will be part of an integrated team, gaining exposure to wider tax and commercial issues as you work closely with other tax and other specialties to solve client problems from a holistic perspective. This is a hybrid position based in our Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland). Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.
Your key responsibilities
- Supports organizations in the development of cross border prices in compliance with international tax and transfer pricing regulations to identify the optimal methods of pricing transactions within the organization and in bridging the gap between where tax authorities are moving and how companies have previously managed tax controversy.
- Assists in planning, streamlining , managing and solving complex transfer pricing issues to mitigate the associated risks through preparing economic analyses to appropriately price intercompany transactions.
- Assists with post-merger integration, conduct transfer pricing specific due diligence for strategic and corporate buyers and sellers, and develop approach to align the tax and treasury profile with its operational strategy to enhance the after-tax return of business transformation initiatives
Skills and attributes for success
- Transfer Pricing Expertise and Attention to Detail: At least 2 years of Transfer Pricing experience in a relevant role, whether from an industry or professional services background. Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to assimilate and communicate complex information and data sources effectively.
- Communication Skills and Commercial Acumen: Strong communication skills that enable the provision of succinct and well-informed recommendations to clients. Possesses strong commercial acumen with the ability to stay abreast of wider legal, economic, environmental, and political factors that influence transfer pricing.

- Salary: We offer a competitive salary which is open to negotiation pending on skills and experience.
The salary range for this role is expected to be NZD 82,000 to 100,000 dependent on skills and experience. This full-time role is for a minimum of 37.5 hours per week.
