Description
As an experienced engineer in our Open Source Program Office, you will develop tooling and automate infrastructure to support open source operations across the company. You’ll build highly-visible solutions to streamline and report on open source usage, contributions, and releases. Drawing from your experience, you will educate and guide internal engineering teams on their open source initiatives. With a balance of passion and pragmatism, you’ll integrate software systems, automate workflows using API-oriented approaches, and manage cloud infrastructure. Minimum Qualifications
- At least 5 years of relevant industry experience
- Strong track record of contributing to and engaging with open source projects
- Experience writing applications in multiple programming languages (e.g. Swift, Javascript, Python, etc)
- Experience operating and developing infrastructure and services in public cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Experience with open source tools such as GitHub, package managers, and CI systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience collecting high-level requirements and translating them into reliable high-performance solutions
- Experience integrating systems and automating workflows using API-oriented approaches
- Self-driven, able to work autonomously as part of an asynchronous and distributed team
- Ability to work iteratively, triage issues reported by others, make quality technical recommendations, and write clear documentation
- Empathetic and collaborative
- Ability to mentor and be mentored
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $161,700 and $284,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
