Your ImpactYour primary responsibilities will include crafting, developing, and debugging system software related to Cisco UCS servers. Additionally, you will be involved in developing, improving, and maintaining automation frameworks and test scripts using Python to validate functionality, usability, and performance. You will also play a crucial role in product development from planning and design to development and testing. As a proactive team member, you will optimally manage workloads, meet schedules, identify risks, and deliver high-quality products. Having an attitude of developing simple solutions to complex problems is highly encouraged.
- Design, develop, and debug system software related to Cisco UCS servers.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain automation frameworks and test scripts using Python to validate functionality, usability, and performance.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to understand project requirements and design automated test strategies for components and features.
- Write design specs and test plans, and participate in peer code reviews, design reviews, and test plan reviews.
- Communicate effectively with team members, providing timely updates on project progress, challenges, and successes.
Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of experience or a Master's degree with 5+ years in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to apply industry specifications such as IPMI, iSCSI, SAN, TCP/IP, I2C, PCIe, SMBIOS, DMTF Redfish, and others.
- Hands on experience in debugging BIOS, operating systems, hardware, and platform-level issues.
- Hands on experience in Python, shell scripting or similar automation tools is required.
- Comprehensive understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
- Strong coding skills with an in-depth understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Hands-on experience with version control systems like Git, along with a solid understanding of continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with both team members and collaborators.
- Strong analytical abilities and adept troubleshooting skills.
