THE ROLE

We are looking for a Senior UI developer for our sustainability framework for our Bangalore team with the following expectations and tasks:

• You are eager to make a lasting impact by developing user interfaces for cloud applications that help customers to embed sustainability into daily business processes.
• You drive the design and implementation of user interfaces for modern cloud-native applications that will help customers to transition into the future of sustainable business.
• Acts as a bridge between UX designers and developers, facilitating effective communication.
• Ensures a user-centered approach by advocating for user needs, behaviors, and feedback.
• Translates design concepts into technical requirements and implements UI designs accurately.
• Solves technical challenges while maintaining a focus on optimal user experience.
• Advocates for usability, accessibility, and code quality during development.
• Integrates user feedback, conducts testing and promotes a design-driven mindset within the team.
• Works in a cross-functional implementation team and is responsible for development focusing on design, coding, testing, and quality assurance of complex product features, especially around FE but also microservice architecture and exposure to cloud-native development.
• Resolves complex issues within own area of expertise and supports others in resolving issues.
• Shows initiative and drives topics to resolution in a high level of quality, speed, reliability, and efficiency.
• Works closely together with others and shares expertise to ensure product success. Constantly improves own work methods to gain state-of-the-art agile software engineering skills. Enhances skills beyond own core functional focus and works on other tasks for the benefit of the team.
• Has advanced overall product and technical knowledge and shares expertise within and across teams and organizations.
• Has advanced knowledge of development and testing processes and product standards. Works independently and designs solutions that may enhance future design within own domain expertise.
• Shares knowledge and helps grow the capabilities of the team through presentations, mentoring, and coaching in your implementation team and product area.
• Collaborates with user experience experts and can assess and improve the desirability of user interaction design of complex product features.

ROLE REQUIREMENT

• We are looking for candidates with at least 8 years of professional experience: • Excellent knowledge of SAP UI5, Fiori development and JavaScript
• Deep expertise in designing and developing enterprise applications with Fiori Elements UI with Odata V4
• Experience in building complex UIs within the framework of Fiori design using FE with relevant breakouts.
• Good degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field (Bachelor / Master)  • Fluent in English (written and verbal), able to  communicate technical ideas and concepts to stakeholders

What we consider beneficial:

• Development experience with Java, NodeJS, JavaScript, and other modern programming languages
• Experience in developing CAP-based applications on BTP
• Trainer for UI developers using Fiori Elements
• Experience as a UX advocate and an inclination toward UX-centric development
• Knowledge of UI integration test tools like OPA5
• Familiarity with Interface design tools like Figma
• Familiarity with SAP Accessibility product standards
• Experience with Design Thinking and Lean UX methodologies - e.g. workshop facilitation, validation sessions
• Experience in applying UX research methods - design of experiments, moderation, note taking, and data synthesis
• Experience with agile software engineering processes (Kanban, Scrum) in the context of enterprise software development
• Business knowledge about the sustainability efforts of enterprise companies
