Duties: Develop and implement a set of techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software. Apply data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets. Visualize, interpret, and report data findings. Create dynamic data reports relating to implications of existing and proposed regulations such as Basel II /III, Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID), U.S. Federal Treasury, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), and regulations from other central banks and regulatory authorities. Conduct data programming and manipulation using Base and Advanced Statistical Analysis Software (SAS) Techniques, Structured Query Language (SQL) programming, Visual Basic Application (VBA) Programming, MS Excel, MS Access and MS PowerPoint. Utilize business intelligence and visualization software using tools like UNIX, SAS, and MS Office to design data driven analytic and reporting solutions (reports, dashboards and databases). Evaluate information systems reporting infrastructures and large data sets to develop process improvements to eliminate inefficiencies and improve reporting quality. Launch and maintain new reporting and automation processes to analyze and address business requirements. Conduct advanced data analytics by mining large datasets to identify trends using statistical methods. Build advanced analytics across all portfolios. Support design and automation of key reports and Management Information System (MIS). Responsible for core reporting processes and accurate output. Synthesize and manipulate large data sets using SAS, SQL, VB, Excel, and Access. Translate technical data into business terms. Document schemas and notations of datasets to support business applications and data models. Work with business users to gather business requirements and draft and co-ordinate approval for Business Requirement Documents (BRD). Design, implement, and maintain integrated SAS macro reporting/MIS system. Identify creation of new macros as needed for re-usability of process and appropriate standardization of transformation logic. Document tools and SAS datamarts for end user training. Provide routine MIS and ad hoc reports and analysis on credit quality, including origination, portfolio, and collection/recovery performance, using base SAS, Windows, and UNIX AIX platforms. Ensure data integrity of all created SAS datamarts, Leverage existing SAS control reporting around data quality to ensure data as created is per expectations. Ensure all data being captured on output reports also are accurate and conform to expectation by using SAS random sampling technique. Import and convert data from various data formats, file systems, and relationship databases. Provide data support for reporting and analyzing presentation materials, and manage key sub-processes used in account management processes, including behavior scoring, account monitoring, and trigger processes. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Economics, Finance, or related field and 3 years of experience as a Risk Analyst, Risk Manager, Analyst, Economist or related position in a risk management department for a bank. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in the stated fields and 5 years of the specified progressive, post-baccalaureate experience. At least 3 years of experience must include: International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and FX credit transactions. At least 2 years of experience must include: International Financial Accounting Standards (IFAS); Business analysis; Forecasting and modeling credit risk, reserves, credit losses and risk parameters; Identifying asset status risk; Automation; and Statistical data analysis. Wage Range: $163,100 to $171,621.90
