Job Description:
As an Executive Director, you will play a pivotal role in leading and overseeing the strategic direction and operational management of the CIB Markets Product Control organization. You will be responsible for ensuring the alignment of the organization's goals with its mission and vision, while fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration. This role requires a good understanding of CIB Markets products, including the various types of products traded within the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans that align with the organization's mission and vision. Provide visionary leadership to guide the organization towards achieving its long-term goals. Provide detailed analysis and reporting on the financials to desk heads, business managers, and senior finance management.
- Operational Management: Ensure production, preparation, and reporting of the daily P&L and risk across markets.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Front Office, MO, and Tech. Act as the primary spokesperson for the location. Partner with the business to drive forth and implement robust controls and new business initiatives.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team. Foster a positive and inclusive organizational culture that encourages professional growth and development.
- Innovation and Growth: Drive innovation and new business initiatives to enhance the organization's competitive position. Explore opportunities for growth and expansion.
- Project Management: Oversee and manage strategic projects and initiatives, ensuring timely and successful execution.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior leadership role, preferably within a related industry.
- Product Knowledge: Requires a good understanding of CIB Markets products, including fixed income, equities, foreign exchange, commodities, and derivatives.
- Financial Expertise: In-depth understanding of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, with the ability to leverage this knowledge to enhance financial performance and strategic planning.
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
- Proven track record of strategic leadership and successful implementation of organizational goals.
- Strong financial acumen with extensive experience in financial management, reporting, and analysis. Ability to interpret and analyze complex financial statements, and provide insights that drive strategic decision-making.
