As a Senior Software Devolper Engineer you will be responsible for architecting solutions, designing, developing, testing, deploying and maintaining Web applications / services that bring all Devices (including Surface) to life. You will need to understand requirements across all Device teams / disciplines and deliver secure solutions to successfully meet those requirements. This is a great opportunity to have broad impact across Devices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ yearsindustry development experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to C#, ASP.NET, REST web services, Web API
    • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Software Developer
  • Minimum of 5 years of Azure based Web service development experience using C#, Web API
  • Demonstrated experience with at least two end to end product cycles as a developer for medium to large scale product
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem solving and debugging skills
  • Knowledge and experience in Security areas such as cryptography, PKI, Code Signing, HSM, SSL / TLS, TPM, Windows security.
  • Experience with SQL Server Database development
  • Knowledge and experience inUnified Extensible Firmware Interface(UEFI) Firmware

Responsibilities
  • Collaborates with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a scenario.
  • Drives identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product, application, service, or platform.
  • Creates, implements, optimizes, debugs, refactors, and reuses code to establish and improve performance and maintainability, effectiveness, and return on investment (ROI).
  • Leverages subject-matter expertise of services / features and partners with appropriate stakeholders to drive a workgroup's project plans, release plans, and work items.
  • Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and guides other engineers by developing and following the playbook, working on call to monitor system/product/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions, alerting stakeholders about status and initiates actions to restore system/product/service for simple and complex problems when appropriate.
  • Proactively seeks new knowledge and adapts to new trends, technical solutions, and patterns that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale.
