Required/Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

• OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

• OR equivalent experience.

- Technical problem solving and debugging skills

Required/Minimum Qualifications

• Design and development experience in database engines, schema-less data indexing and search technologies, performance tuning and operating system internals.
• Understanding of, or prior experience working on System Internals of Database Engines or Operating System, Compilers or similar core systems
• Understanding of, or prior experience working on API technologies, like GraphQL and REST
• Experience with cloud computing, Azure, or a similar platform.

Responsibilities

• Developing and delivering features that enable developers to build data-centric applications on Azure SQL Database and SQL Server.• Modernizing Azure SQL DB with new APIs for data retrieval.• Building the next set of application developer features for SQL Server such asand new T-SQL capabilities.• Design, implement, test, and ship features that meet customer needs and business goals.• Contribute to code reviews, design reviews, and team discussions.• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.• Troubleshooting live site issues as part of both product development and live site rotations. Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) working on-call tosystem/product feature/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions.
